I’m the person who consistently wears my favorite cardigan even during summers😂 My friend will forever be confused since she can’t survive the heat without wearing a tank top. So we’d go out with me wearing long sleeves or a jacket and her in a tank top and shorts and our other friends would look at us like we’re living in two separate worlds- frankly they’re all on tank top friend’s side.

i like how this shows that what antis think of 'noise', theres actually a lot of elements that mostly only musicians recognize. even during dance practice reactions for nct dream, dancers recognize how nct dream has that musicality to match the song with their movements as well.

Same! It’s somewhat annoying to see that music that doesn’t automatically sound similar to what the rest of the of industry is putting out is automatically labeled as “noise” music or “just noise.” A lot of solid experimental music, like NCT’s and Aespa’s, immediately get sidelined because they don’t follow the formula of what everyone else is doing. I get that some songs just don’t click with the listener, but just because it doesn’t sound good to you doesn’t mean it’s terrible.

The “mumble” part is sampled from El Chombo’s Chacarron. He’s a reggaeton artist so that’s why you can hear the Latin/Caribbean influence somewhere in the middle of the song and the horn and hand percussions in the end

Hot Sauce is a well received song & album and that made NCT Dream sell over 2 million copies. "Menea para abajo" technically means “move down”, but "Menea para" can be translated as "wiggle to" and abajo can be understood as "below", so hot sauce "wiggles down inside you" would be a plausible definition.

Fun fact: Three Racha is not only a pun on the Sri Racha sauce. Racha, or raja, is a word common to many Asian languages from Hindi to Thai meaning King. So Three Racha can also mean Three Kings ^^

The way they were like it sounds spanish but Idk jajajajja yeah, it's spanish, they say "y menea para abajo y que menea para abajo" and keep repeating it. Menea para abajo it's kind of a dance move, like twerking but not quite, I think the translation would be something like shake it down (? or going down

The editing for this reaction video is so good & funny! 😂👍 The first time I listened to Hot Sauce I also thought that the "descending part" was gibberish, until I saw people said those are actually Spanish words. I think it's an interesting element to surprise our ears, repeated throughout the song but not to the point that it annoys our ears. Also love the harmonies & contrasts between the verses, chorus & bridge. I saw a comment saying that Hot Sauce is a perfect mix between NCT Dream & NCT 127's sounds & I agree! Love the weird/loud/noise sounds mixed with the calm/softer & fresh/cheerful parts. Looking forward for your reaction to Hello Future as well.

all their initial reactions were my reactions also lmao I always love seeing what any NCT subunit will blow my brain with and Hot Sauce really wormed it's way into a special place! like I have other title tracks I'd say are still more my favorite, but Hot Sauce definitely continued to pleasantly surprise me the more I listened to it (after generally liking it upon first listen) ^^
