Personally, most of the time, I need to repeatedly listen to actually like the song especially on Kpop these days, cuz there's always a lot going on. Hello Future is one of the rare songs which I love on the first listen. It is just so beautiful, especially the chorus, I didn't even know something special was going on there musically. And yeyyy, they like Mark's rap. Actually, he usually makes great use of silence in his raps, not just here. Glad they noticed 🥰

"Hello Future" is truly NCT Dream's magnum opus. I honestly got emotional while watching this video and realizing how much the song means to me. (Gonna go watch the interview right after this and I can't wait!! Thank you Umu for keeping us fed!!) Also, I've mentioned this several times by now but the editing and production on these videos is god-tier!! So wonderful to see how much it's evolved since the channel first started.

i honestly feel some kind of "good ominous" feeling from nct songs, especially nct dream songs. something about their songs is hopeful and speaks of dreams, but there's this darkness and nostalgia that still emanates from it. the best example in my opinion is life is still going on. despite the lyrics and the message, i find that song incredibly sad to listen to. i like that nct dream songs like hello future and life is still going on manage to convey the uncertainty of youth in such a nuanced way, but i'm not kidding when i say i feel so weird when i listen to life is still going on. it's supposed to make me feel hopeful and a little nostalgic, but i find it ominous and daunting. i have this weird theory about nct songs, where a good nct song is tasteful and nuanced but still has an ominous feel. it's like a "good ominous" lmao (earthquake, hello future, dancing in the rain, light bulb, punch, simon says, music dance, my van, etc etc etc....)

I can say that this is the hardest song of NCT Dream so far and one of the best. Never gets tired of listening to it everyday. Haechan almost lost his voice while recording those belting notes. They deserve the million seller for this full length. album.

The way this reaction made me appreciate Mark's ending verse even more than I already did! Like the way the silence is used, it is so effective that it makes the chorus hit even harder the last time. But then, the way you pointed out all the hits of flow also made me fall in love with it even more.

We have hot sauce as the starter and hello future as the ending it fits soo well. But everytime im jamming to hello future, though its a song to wrap things up, an ending theme song‐ it felt like a new beginning is about to start. It fits the 6 year long of nct dream's career 💚

this channel is ridiculously good at explaining to me why i love the songs that i love thank you for pointing out the borderline schizophrenia of "minor bass with a major key" i remember being so thrown off by the apparent dissonance of the song at first listen but i was also captivated and i just love how they all got stuck on that one line before the last chorus, it's my favorite part of the whole song, mark's ability to play with rhythm and the way he zapped through this rap are out of this world

“Hello Future” is just so GREAT in general. The CGI, the colorful mv, the vocals, the instrumentals. What’s even better is the unexpected message. Non-Korean speakers would think that this was just a cutesy-happy-go-lucky concept. But when you check out the subtitles, it’s about respecting each other and peace. I especially loved jisung’s part where he sings “You’re stronger than anyone.” 3:00 I LOVE THIS!

NO, BUT FOR REALS... THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE CHORUS, IT WAS NO WORDS HEAD EMPTY JUST "It's beautiful." Like without the musical technicalities or whatsoever, the overall vibe was "Oh this is so beautiful." 🥺So knowing that me (just a normal listener) and a reactor (a musician) agree on that matter is so satisfying and validating. I just can't explain it. The chorus just gives this "euphoric" "hopeful" feeling and I think that's beautiful. Also, the choreography is so beautiful. 😭Was literally bawling after the first listen. Definitely, my favorite NCT Dream title track and best song of 2021, periodt.

*Hello Future* was THE SONG of 2021 for me. The melody was so memorable and impressive, but so were the lyrics! Jaemin's line "soldiers knocking doors down, yelling out" was such a stark and brutal image of wartime. It gives you the feeling of dread, fear, and uncertainty. The next line then literally tells you to forget about wartime, and in the chorus, "Let's build only with beautiful times". UGH, it's so good! When I first heard the song when it dropped, I got emotional. The melody and the message tugged at my heartstrings so unexpectedly! It will stand out as a timeless song, for sure!

I'm proud renchin. it's really true that Renjun's perfect for the perfect bridge. Especially his angelic soft voice. (he's too beautiful too)
