Carolyn Jones (1930-1983) was an American actress best known for her role as Morticia Addams in the popular television series "The Addams Family." Born in Texas, Jones began her career as a model before transitioning to acting in the 1950s. She quickly gained attention for her talent and unique beauty, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1957 film "The Bachelor Party." In addition to her work in movies and television, Jones was also a stage actress and appeared in numerous productions on Broadway. Jones passed away at the age of 53 from complications related to colon cancer.
