How can technology help students visualize and apply their understanding of right triangles? We will look at two different problem-solving challenges from NCTM's Problem-of-the Week Resources and show you how you can use ClassPad.net's dynamic geometry tool to visualize, manipulate and analyze relationships. We will explore using images, constructing right triangles, measuring sides and angles and dynamically comparing triangles and area and collecting data. We will use multiple problem-solving strategies as we explore ways to help students apply the Pythagorean Theorem, and explore area relationships of both triangles and circles.
