It's interesting that the intro has Jessica gush about her attraction to skater girls like Claudia and then Claudia has an existential crisis about "wasting her beauty" by not looking essentially like Jessica. It's like a real-life example of the old comic where a protagonist whines about being unattractive and their friend explains that they're not unattractive, they just aren't their type. They're *each other's* type!

I wonder if Claudia might cope quite well for semi dressed up looks with 1940s style tailored women’s pants suits, flying suits and military cut, flying jacket type clothes. She could have the hair which she seemed to do quite well with, wear some flatter boots and trousers which would avoid skirts, but still look very put together. In some of your shots today there was a distinct vibe of the 1940s recruitment posters for military and munitions factories or land army. The ones with lots of lipstick and unrealistic hairstyles where everyone is unreasonably attractive.

Claudia looks fabulous. As a woman with a deep and abiding love of menswear fabrics and wingtip shoes I can absolutely see her in vintage trouser suits and more comfortable,yet stylish, shoes. Tinted moisturizer with spf and maybe a tinted lip balm or matte lip stick that doesn't feel sticky . She is naturally very pretty. And you look great together whether you're doing a theme together or just being yourselves.

11:53 Wow I totally understand Claudia’s sentiment about feeling like you’re not utilizing certain feminine features or beauty and that they’re being “wasted”. You can feel like dressing feminine sometimes just to prove that you “can”. But, I’ve found inspiration from ppl who look stylish with a more masculine or androgynous style. Just look at it as your features being expressed differently rather than being wasted. 😊

This confirms something that I've thought about for a while. Does Claudia look objectively beautiful? Absolutely. Does she look uncomfortable, and that detracts from the overall beauty? Also yes. I feel like people look their most attractive when they're wearing things that feel like an expression of their own style, which is why it looks so natural on Jessica and kind of uncomfortable on Claudia. I find that really helps to fight the idea that in order to maximize my own attractiveness, I need to dress or wear makeup in a certain way that's dictated by society. So much fun to watch though!

I guess dressing like a bygone era has a different effect from dressing out of the mid 20th century, a time that is still living memory. (Yes I know, 50 year olds today were born in 1973. Maybe she looks older than 50 and I'm still thinking like a 20-something rather than the 40-something I am.)

Claudia is so naturally beautiful, I honestly don't think it's possible for her to "waste her gifts". She's one of those people who I think looks more beautiful with very minimal touches because it highlights how much she doesn't need any help!! And the thing about the style swaps is she just looks like she's wearing a costume. I think there could be vintage style that would suit her vibe, but probably not out of Jessica's closet.

Claudia's speech about sometimes wanting to be more dressy and flaunt her gifts but realizing that that's not her hit me so hard rn. I constantly try to present myself way more femme than I feel comfortable with because I have some trauma from being a victim of some harassment and bullying when I was a teenager and very masc. I always felt so ugly because of the "she's beautiful and has a nice body, but--" followed by all of my flaws: my pixie cut hair, my posture, my clothes... I felt called out lmao by this video lmao. Also yeah heels are so beautiful but hurt so bad, I'm also on the barefoot shoes girls' club 👍

Wish that there were a shoe for Claudia of similar style but lower height. I find half inch or 1 inch heels so difficult to find but so much more comfortable. Incidentally, Claud, if you ever want to rock some low heels, look for the also hard to find SQUARE toe box. Much better for the toes and deadly attractive.

Claudia looks wonderful. However, she doesn't look like Claudia. I much prefer the look she was absolutely rocking at Goodwood. She looked sharp, sleek, and so glamorous, but in a way that was so Claudia. It screamed 1920s elegance. Or perhaps whispered it in an understated, yet audible tone.

When Claudia's standing still in that dress, she looked like a proper pin-up. But, the second she started moving, I could tell how uncomfortable she felt wearing it. The picture shown at 11:09, where she's in vintage but it's trousers? She looked much more comfortable and, therefore, it brought out her beauty in a better way. I hope you'll do another vintage makeover for her, but find more of the masculine styles that she likes better!

I can relate to the hatred of thick, fast-growing hair. Back when I was presenting as a woman, it was all I could do to renegotiate a sufficiently "feminine" hair length with my mother when it got long every 6 months.

It’s interesting how people expect you to present in a certain way and make such a big deal of it when you change it up. Years ago, my wife and I came back from shopping for new outfits for our daughters Quinceañera. We told her “One of us got a dress”. She looked me dead in the eyes and said “I hope it wasn’t you.” I was almost offended that she called me like that. I mean she was right, it was not me, but still!!

as a butch lesbian myself, I definitely 100% feel the way Claudia does about presenting feminine, BUT I do think it can be fun to try things out like this with a trusted person in a fun way (I would 100% let my girlfriend do my make up for funsies - and I've done make up for a cosplay of a more feminine character w a long hair wig before - but I don't recognize myself!). I would LOVE to see you do the opposite, Jessica - go for a masculine look with some of Claudia's skater girl outfits!!

I think the feelings that Claudia voiced come mostly from societal pressure and expectation. Sometimes I think it would be nice if I had the energy and know-how to get dolled-up (do you see how we even call it getting DOLLED up?! We are not dolls and should be expected to look like them), but then I think, I'm not comfortable that way. We don't have to look a certain way! Comfort, functionality, and feeling like yourself--those are what matters!
