Mattel should be ashamed of their current “fashion dolls”, MGA is destroying them flawlessly. Literally, Barbie is in rock bottom (pixelated faces on playline AND collector dolls, absurd pricing on extremely low quality dolls, printed-on fabric on playline and collector dolls, velcro on gold and platinum label dolls, etc) They don’t deliver half of what MGA is delivering even tho collector barbies are more expensive. Just take the whole “collector” BMR line that is $30 but can’t even pull off one complete look with their pixelated faces, tacky logomania, unpainted accessories, and cheap fabrics, and then comes rainbow high and does all of that and MORE for LESS on PLAYLINE. I feel like current mattel is way to lazy to improve her, the bankruptcy fantasy is REAL

Mattel is actually really collecteble right now, but more for the diversity of facemolds as well as mtm bodies. The licenced cartoon fashion is also really popular right now. I kinda get what your saying since i have yet to pirchase a collector doll exept the mermaid and dragon dolls. But thats more of my taste.

@@choya8935 i collect all kinds of toys for example lego when a set retires you can get a lot more for it.american girl dolls .barbie the more expensive ones hold there value.so I know dolls like these wont but it equals out.also how many people spend lots of money on drinking holidays going out to eat clothes make up shoes its all money down the drain most of it you dont need .so its no different collecting dolls.unless you are actually saving your money if you are doing anything above which most people are your moneys spent and lost.

I love it too!! Dolls almost always have long hair, it's always cool when they get shorter lengths,, it gives her an entirely different look!! ( I was half tempted to dye my actual hair pink like hers since my natural hair is short 😂)

I run hot water from my bathtub faucet and shampoo the hair there with liquid dish soap. It gets all the gel out, but unfortunately can straighten the hair sometimes if the water is too hot, but it depends.

I would have lost my mind over this as a kid. Details are everything (it's half the reason tiny figures with cute features are a major toy market of their own) I actively have to stop myself buying kids costumes because they are the level of detail I wanted when I was small - I mean, hoop skirts and multiple fabrics? Guuurl... thank god I don't have kids, I'd own every Disney princess outfit and hate myself. NO! I would only have a small selection of detailed pieces that I paid a seamstress for, and the rest can be creative dress up. Disney is not a good company to support.

As someone who is definitely not a doll collector but fell in love with this channel, these dolls are way worth it to be compared to other doll lines. Theyre new but COOL compared to new dolls. Theyre jointed and have big, anime eyes. Something I really love! I love the colors. Having grown up a tomboy and not owning dolls, these are pretty modern and urban

Another great review Clawdeena! This made me excited for the doll and I don’t even collect Rainbow high. 🌈 I’m a pink Barbie girl so of course I was feeling her with the pink wig and sparkle shirt! I would love to see a dark brown girl who has a pink or fushia color scheme. I would totally add to my collection. I’m thinking about getting Avery to my daughter for Christmas tho. She loves dressing dolls. I think $50 isn’t a bad price point for such a lovely doll.

I don't collect dolls, but I have been liking the rainbow high dolls, I love the fact that they are monochromatic and Avery being holographic themed is iconic 💜 I want to collect them. Also I love the fact that you dress up as close to your dolls as possible 🙌 fabulous

They remind me of Liv dolls from the early 2010's... I have two of them; they had the same kind of eyes, wigs with pegs to change them and lots of articulation, but they were more of a barbie shape and silhouette. I feel they weren't very common or well received and were only on the market for a few years. Does anyone else remember these? I know they were definitely before MH...

When washing the hair loose hair often goes to the bottom strands, so I'd recommend you trim it a bit with a pair of scissors.

Thanks for including the tutorial for removing the gel! I used a round or two of shampoo on my Ruby, with a quick blow-dry after, but I'll definitely be trying out the dish soap/conditioner method for future dolls.

I use my daughters gentle shampoo and her detangler spray to get product out of doll hair but dish soap totally makes sense too 👍👍👍

Once you start collecting high-end 1/3 scale dolls like me, the prices of playline dolls really become nothing in comparison LOL. 50$ is how much I pay for a shirt for my Smart Dolls sometimes, an entire articulated doll with 300+ outfit possibilities for this price is a bargain. Not to mention that I used to pay this much for SINGLE Monster High dolls because of price inflation in Poland.

I really hate you HOW do you look good in every single video i'm so jelous. No but seriously, this doll has me on the edge of my seat. She's sooooo good, the clothes look great and seem to be well made and the fact that she is 50 dollars hopefully means the materials are good and the workers are getting paid enough. I don't think i will buy her, or any Rainbow High dolls, for now because of my current situation, but i am keeping them in my mind for the future and i will definetly get my hands in one of them as soon as i can to check them out in person. MGA is literally ruling the doll world right now and i feel like Mattel should be ashamed

I’m not one for doll wigs because they always look bad like but they did a great job with this. You can’t even tell it’s a wig! I won’t be buying because it’s not my cup of tea. I’m not into changing dolls clothes but it’s great for those who love giving their dolls new looks! 😊💕
