I loooooove bao zai fan! You could said I’m a bao zai fan fan 😝 😝 The weather has turned cold and this is exactly what I want to warm me up. Thanks for that cool hack, Ah Pa. It really takes some Kung fu to get the rice just right. I never have a good crust. I think I can get it crispy on the bottom using this method of cooking everything separate and layering up at the end.

Your claypot rice is not black enuf. Since you are adding caramelised black sauce which is already sweet, do u need to add sugar???
@tgc4204
@tgc4204 4 жыл бұрын
This is a fake claypot dish. You are not supposed to fully cook your chicken ahead of time. When the rice is about ready on the stove top, you pour in the chicken mixture to cook with the rice at the last stage on the stove top to let the liquid simmered in the rice. Your claypot is just a serving container.

The rice can be 80% cooked in the cast iron pot or clay pot (about 8 minutes), and the cooked chicken/mushroom/ Chinese sausage placed over as second layer, then complete cooking the rice. A bit of an Indian touch there.
