Introducing the two newest vehicles to the Just Driven garage. The cleanest S13 coupe we could get our grubby hands on, and a dream car of Daryl's since his hot neighbor had one in the 70s, the Mazda RX4 (or the Luce as it's known in Japan).

You guys know how much I love Toyota but I’m a huge closet Nissan fan. S13 was the car that started that for me. I love a good S13 Coupe, I’m excited to see where you go with this one. Any rotary build is good stuff but I especially like the non-RX7 stuff. I’ll look forward to this one, as well.

That's an immaculate RX4 coupe and I agree, it would be a crime to modify it. BTW that exhaust is actually original. It was the part of the REAPS (Rotary Engine Anti Pollution System) emissions system and very rare to see them still fitted. Normally they would have rusted out and replaced.

@@JustDriven no worries.👍🏼 You could replace the exhaust and store it to keep it from degrading. Same goes for the engine. If it has the twin distributor 12a engine in it, they are getting very hard to find parts for. Just depends how much you want to drive it I suppose.

懐かしい 44年前に乗っていました　この車の正規な名称はルーチェ(LUCE)GSⅡです GRⅡは４ドアセダンのグレードです　おそらくGSⅡエンブレムが取れて GRⅡのエンブレムを付けたのだと思います燃費は1リッターで4KMくらいしか走りませんでしたロータリーエンジンは速いので燃費は気にしませんでしたスタイリングもとても気に入っていました私が買ったのは1975年式の中古を60万で買いました低速走行をしているとプラグがかぶってしまい走らなくなりました予備のプラグは常に持っていました　寒い時もなかなかエンジンは掛かりませんでしたいろいろトラブルはありましたが、思い出がいっぱいの素晴らしい車でした

We have a few JZXs. The white one we have is a perfectly optioned time capsule. The silver one is a lightly tuned beauty. And our green one is a rough and ready drift machine. We do have the white one listed but our open to offers on any of them. Thank you for the kind words and the support.

The 1JGTE is stock. The auto to manual swap was done in Japan. The mileage is 16,638Km which is roughly 10, 340 miles. All the swap parts are factory.

For the RX-4, I'd add a limited slip diff, upgrade the shocks(Koni or equivalent), replace all the suspension bushings(with stock rubber), better brake lining material, and if there's some sort of shift kit available for that automatic, install that and call it a day(above the bumpers and driver's seat work that's needed). KISS it(Keep It Simple Stupid) 🙂

I really really adore the s13 coupés and you Guys got a real untouched gem there. I personally dont Like the Look of the Rocketbunny on the coupés. My advice, drop it with some nice wheels and Go from there, i Trust you Guys you never dissapoint.

There is a bit of a battle going on with the S13 build. Thankfully we have lots of cars ahead of these two so we have some time.

That Mazda is museum material. Nonetheless, they are made for driving so it would be a shame not to. Just please don't cut or hack it up. It is indeed perfect! Maybe, just maybe, you could pull the engine for a stock-for-stock rebuild. Make the car a good-as-it-gets driver car. Keep at it guys, great material as always!

Thank you so much! We are nearly split in the shop with what to do with it. We have the Hako and Kenmeri that were chopped and modified as it would have been in Japan. This one may be a little too minty for all that though.

@@JustDriven another option would be to preserve the drivetrain by putting it aside and replace it with a different 2 or 3 rotor and gearbox so the car can be brought back to stock.

We usually hold on to the stock parts. It's always a sensible idea to hold on to the stock stuff.

Should have Origin Lab for S13 Silvia. Was that S13 Silvia powered by CA18 or SR20? Consider I seeing S13 Silvia on anime initial D. Which the colour combination of green and black.

@@connoisseuroftigolbitts oh yeah, S13 Silvia later introduced the SR engine. I like the initial D anime one the Lime green with black on it. Was the early 90s when Nissan introduced the SR20 engine alongside 180SX

That Luce is amazing, please don't modify it. This would be worth $150,000 in Australia and New Zealand as is.

We love it as is but it would also match perfectly with the Hako and Kenmeri builds.

It would be really difficult to. The overfenders would be more to stay in-line with the Kenmeri and Hako projects.

Rectangular exhaust on the RX4 is original. If it was mine, I'd do a sleeper.

Yes, its stock, its the REAPS exhaust system. A part of the Rotary Engine Anti Pollution Equipment which is all for emissions

Personally I wouldn't touch either car. They are amazing examples of them that are just getting harder to find. I'd find rougher versions of them and mod them instead.
