As the manufacturer of De-Glue Goo, I would like to add some comments that may help others with this problem. First, DGG dissolves hide, original white, and original yellow glues ( water soluble PVA ) into a sludge that is easily removed with a brush and cloths. Second, glues like Titebond 2 and 3 are water resistant and water proof after they dry. So DGG will not dissolve them. It will rubberize them to some degree which can make it easier to chisel or scrape off. If you wish to try DGG with these types of glue scrape off the thick sections of glue or rough it up with 60 grit or heavier sand paper to increase surtace area, apply a heavy coat of DGG, wrap in plastic wrap and leave for several hours or longer. The glue should be softened like rubber. Use a chisel or scraper to remove glue that is softened. Repeat this process if there is still dry glue on the clamps. Use a brush to clean softened glue from the clamp teeth. I hope this helps. My last advice is, use original glues that are water soluable when dry for indoor projects and use water proof glues for outdoor projects.

I called Bessey, they suggested using painters tape on the bar before applying the glue. Haven't tried it yet, but will soon.

Soak the bar in some white vinegar over night and the glue comes right off
