I was just thinking the other day how incredibly grateful and lucky I am to be 38 and still have my grandma, shes still healthy, vibrant, lives alone, shops, cooks, engages in conversations, so many by our ages have lost all their grandparents and I think its such a huge blessing i still have mine and my kids can get to know the grandma I grew up with! Makes you really value all the moments.

I wore these type dresses myself when we went to swim meets and lessons; and with flip flop sandals from LL Bean or Lands End to match their tote (very stylish) as most mothers did in the swim world. Beautiful video Nikki! I love that dress on you. It is a beautiful style and colour and it makes you look taller and more slim. By the way, what tool did you use to make your French twist? I love making them too! I agree they are elegant looking. I am like that too with gifts especially for the elder members of the family who can pretty much buy whatever they want. For example doing something for my Mom gives me such a good feeling and I know she appreciates it more than a physical gift. I also agree with you 100% that we should teach our kids to be helpful and therefore pleasant to be around. I try my best with this. I get a lot of push back, pretty much constantly with almost anything I ask of them but I feel it’s my duty as a Mom to teach them to be wonderful adults and to know how to do things when they are older. Plus, I don’t always want to have to clean up after everyone else. That was a beautiful scene at the end in the lake. Thank you for always reminding of what’s really important! Take care!
