Clean Your Headphone Jack (Dirty Aux Port)

NOTE: Please be careful to not put compressed air too close to the aux port for too long!
The dirty aux port is the bane of any music lovers' life when playing music using a headphone jack on your phone (or elsewhere). Here is the best way I've found to clean the dirt that gets stuck in the aux port.

If your headphones doesn't click on, and that the case why you here. Then useful tip is get a toothpick and make it smaller/sharper with knife, then put in all the way to the bottom of port and try to scrub it in one direction, probably you will get a big amount of compressed dust come out.

That's an interesting idea. I've tried this with the charging port, but I worry that I'm going to damage something if I'm not super careful with the toothpick

@@Organizing-TV The contacts are located on long walls of the port or in case of type-c on middle thing, so if you scrub it to the side, you will not touch contacts, thus will not damage anything.

I went one better guys- I put the dental brush in my drill chuck and had more rotation / brush scrub than I could ever get by hand.

Thanks this worked I did as Told but I found by manually sucking in air from the jack works as well no equipment needed and now I can have sound again🌈

OH MY FUCKING GOD. My earphone jack couldnt work and couldnt connect, and then i tried doing this and IT STARTED WORKING!!! I thought i was gonna have to repair it to someone but this saved me money, im gonna tear up now

Use a teeth brush, dont use air compression it may destroy speaker and internal components

@@Organizing-TV you are welcome thanks you too :), i think it is saver to use compressed air can or duster instead, a compressed air generators like a small blower for example may cut small sensitive bridged cables for example that you cant see inside or until you are sure it will not hurt, take care

Do Samsung Galaxys still have one? I have a OnePlus now and it doesn't have one(always got a Galaxy before this) I know the iPhone doesn't have them anymore.

It is a great way to do it. If you get the chance to try out the compressed air method that one is very effective too

Sure, but it won't be as effective :) Perhaps try just a tiny tiny drop of water on it and let the phone fully dry up before you use it

I haven't had any problems with it. But perhaps a tiny amount could shed off in there. Overall, it will still be worth it to clean out all the other lint and weird stuff that gets stuck in there I think

I jumped in river with my phone in my pant pocket, phone repaired but headphone jack is not working, the repairer said, the hole headphone jack damaged it can't replace with new one u have to use your mobile without headphones or go with wireless headset, 😞😞plz tell me sir really I have no other way 😭😭to repair headphone jack 😞😞😞😭😭

Hmm.. Did you do it differently than in the video? Using compressed air is quite popular way to clean electronics so it sounds really strange that it would damage your phone if you were careful

I don't agree with that. It's still a very popular port for most users of Android phones, tablets, computers, etc. But I guess you're right that some new phones have gotten rid of it since it can be used with a USB-C adapter or similar
