I was wondering why you didn't take the emulsifier tubes out and cleaned them too. They also have small holes like the pilot jet

Great vid. You mention your going to do a video about the next generation carb cleaning. Did you post it? I have a few 81's I'm about to clean up and like to know the differences and recommendations. Cheers

I was in one of your other videos you are using pods with 4 into 1 exhaust. What size jets are you using?

Thank you so much for posting this. I was scared to start taking apart my carbs, but this video has eased my fears a bit. It actually seems pretty easy. I'm having an issue with my number one carb (on the far left side). My bike runs great, but when it's parked, gas appears to be slowly seeping out where the boot connects the engine to the first carb. It's at a slow rate, maybe a drop or two over a couple days, but it doesn't seem like a good sign. I guess I'll need to take the whole thing off in order to mess with that one carb. Might as well inspect and clean them all while they're off the bike. Do you rinse stuff with water after using all that carb cleaner on it? I plan on replacing all the boots when I put the carbs back on. They seem kinda old and hard. One more question....should I do a carb sync when I reattach them after cleaning? (I don't have one of those carb sync tools but I guess I should get one now that I have an old CB750.)

Is there anything wrong with running a single filter on the line that comes directly off the petcock rather than separate filters for 1/2 and 3/4? Mine was set up with a single filter when I bought it, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not right considering everything else I've found so far. I'm wanting to replace the fuel lines due to age, but I'm not sure if I should care about the overflows and vents. The good fuel line is $$$$. Those little short hoses that go between carb bodies 1 and 2 and the second one between 3 and 4 (I think these are tying the vents together?) - Do I need to replace those lines? Not having any trouble with them that I know of but I'm sure they're original.

I’ll be doing this for the first time soon. Why didn’t you take out the main jet seats? (I think that’s what they’re called.) Seems like you should clean all those brass parts. I just took mine out to check the size...took the whole thing out and didn’t even realize the jet was sitting inside another part. I couldn’t find a screw driver short enough to unscrew the jet (with the carbs on the bike) so I put a socket wrench on the end, which removed that whole brass piece that sits in that center hole. Hope I didn’t screw anything up. I’m looking forward to taking the carbs off and cleaning them...so I can learn how to do it.

Need to remove the float needle seats. Alot of time the screen is plugged behind them. Also need to clean the emulsion tubes below the main jets that the needle slides into.

Can anyone point me to a video/tutorial on how to remove the carbs in the first place? Or is it pretty straightforward?

Logemon pull the airbox off then disconnect the throttle cables and last losses the clamps between the engine and carb and pull them off

Watch Hackaweeks video on putting together his CB750. He doesn’t take the carbs off, but you’ll see him put his carbs back on the bike, which will help you see how they come off. I’m getting ready to attempt if for the first time myself. His video was helpful.
