He's mentioned it in previous videos. But most professional product companies won't sell to anyone but refinishers and can't be purchased for the DIY person.

Our company runs Hawk Research Low Odor products for the fastest return to service with the least lingering VOC content, Has definitely been our favorite However it's exclusively sold to refinishing contractors. Has definitely been one of the most resilient coatings and resulted in almost no complaints from tenants and residents in the apartments and homes we do. Used Krylon Tub and Tile for alot of residential projects when we first started also, but with Krylon you have like a 72 hour return to service, and the glaze wears within a year or so, also tends to yellow when exposed to hot water, even well passed the recommended dry time under perfect conditions.

Did notice alot of other contractors don't solvent wipe their surfaces before applying primer which is usually listed as a requirement of commercial grade products. Would not recommend for DIY prep but we run ventilators, and our crew runs with portable supplied air systems instead of NIOSH respirators which you go through alot when you do that @@bathroommagic7303

added an 8 foot whip hose and top feeding instead of bottom feeding has probably been the best thing I've done in terms of maneuverability on our set ups

Does the maxum ll use a filter on the end of the tube that goes inside the cup ?

Pretty sure it doesn't, we run 3m PPS H/O with our set up which has a built in screen on the disposable liners. you just don't want to use the mesh when you're running a larger tip size for things like countertop fleck or heavy enamels. Our companies run this gun from everything like spraying curbs/ fire lanes, coating countertop epoxy, and our bread and butter tub coatings.

How after do you clean your gun? After every work day? I know you don’t replace parts daily but do you take it a part and use the toothpicks and brushes daily?

I train our guys to use a pressurized mechanics solvent can, put it down the intake tube of the gun and blast it out into a metal bucket, it mimics what pro shops do with SATA wall mounted cleaning stations. If you set up for 3m PPS H/O then you don't even need to bother with cup cleaning and that's a huge time saver. Just toss the liner out at the end of each job, you're spending roughly 2 bucks per liner and lid. Usually use xylene but sometimes run acetone since we use that as our primary solvent wipe solution for prepping surfaces before primer.

I run a 3m pps on my maxum elite gun on gravity feed with an H/O Cup. Save for much time and the mesh in the cup prevents debris from getting on the surface. Pretty much just have to clean the nozzle assembly into a bucket with solvent using a pressurized mechanics solvent can. Super quick cleaning especially for us because we HVLP spray primer, fleck, and top coats for countertops each requires a clean out before each product application.

Yes laquer thinner or acetone for regular after use cleanings. A mild stripper once every couple months for a complete clean out.

I don’t think you listened to the video. I said I was going to do a gun dip another time for the outside of the gun. I cleaned the inside of the gun to get it ready for spraying lol!

Using spray gun grease or oil and greasing the needle behind the packing nut and the exposed trigger assembly and volume control springs threads was a huge help on preserving the packing nut and preventing leaks on our Maxum Elite. Also makes clean up a breeze and prevents overspray build up. Also use a non-toxic paint stripper to make the outside of the sprayer to look new every so often 👍
