how about you start the car first. warm up the engine, and you may use the heater heat up the windows

Not the case for diesel as it needs RPM's to get up to temp. Works on my gasoline car well though...

If you start your car, its gonna take longer to get rid of the snow, and plus you’re wasting your petrol/gas or battery
