I mean, if you're trying to prove it's waterproof compatibilities, it would have been smart to have water on hand. I've read reviews stating it isn't waterproof. I was interested in buying, but too many mixed reviews.

The paper is what’s waterproof your ink it’s what’s not That’s the reason why the ink smudges off

Can I ask if you used an inkjet printer. If so , how do you stop the ink from scratching/rubbing off?

Yeah, I bought this brand from Amazon and it's not clear at all. It's super blurry due to crazing of the adhesive. IDK why they would use a glue that doesn't dry clear. Also, don't be fooled by all the claims about wather/weaterproofing - no material on the planet can magically make your ink waterproof. Remember, your ink is ON TOP of the material you printed on. It can't just magically sink under another layer. Thank about it. In reality, you need to put a coating on top of your ink to seal it. This goes for all brands, not just this one.

Not true. Regular picture paper can be ran under water and the ink will not run / bleed or smear.

@@ubreakitirepairit3569 Bro I print on photo paper every day. It absorbs water. Even glossy photo paper will. The fact that it captures ink to begin with should be enough for people to realize it will absorb water too. Photo paper will even absorb tiny amounts of moisture from spray lacquer/sealant/varnish, which can be observed when the surface bubbles or forms waves.

As you say in your video that when you have printed on the vinyl with an inkjet printer then the ink is locked into the vinyl would the ink come off offer time if used outdoors with rain and cold.

If I were to use this as a decal on the outside of a car, would I need to put a laminate over it or would it be beneficial to put a laminate over it?

Yes absolutely. Make sure it’s a UV resistant laminate. Unfortunately we’re out of stock on our website currently. Another alternative is to spray with a clear acrylic sealant!

Thanks Juan! We could totally make a video that shows how to use printable iron on vinyl! Its super easy- iron it on for 10-15 seconds at 350 degrees using your iron- but don't forget to use the heat resistant sheet we give you in the package!

The reason you probably had difficulty printing is because the weight of the paper is probably to heavy for your printer. Try using 24lb sticker paper, most printers should be able to use it. I wouldn't be surprised if you were using something closer to a thin card stock like 65lb
