Please show the whole house build!! You are correct in your intro, but I think most of your fans would enjoy it. Your long form videos are captivating!

You should document the whole thing, Matt. Going outside the purview of the channel once in a while isn't a bad thing.

a big part of success on your channel is that we get to see Matt realize his dreams. So I hope that we will be allowed to follow the construction of the new house, and the joy of it being built.

It’s apparent from the comments relating to Matt’s recent building lot clearing for his house that his many subscribers have been caught up with the fascination of watching one man fulfill his dreams. This is a compelling story particularly because we all admire the man himself, his incredible work ethic, his fearlessness in approaching any problem and most of all, his vision. He has a solid vision of what he wants long term and for the past few years he has acquired the right pieces he needs to allow him to do almost anything by himself. He knew which pieces he wanted and they appear to be paid for. Any extras that he isn’t saving for himself have been sold off, we don’t see those but that process is always in his head. As he cleared the future lot it was hard to imagine all that we were seeing done was accomplished by himself, alone. He has the unusual ability to plan ahead both for his long term projects as well as figuring out the most efficient use of his many pieces of equipment. There aren’t many extra moves. He’s obviously at his best when he’s using the equipment he’s resurrected. Now that most of that equipment is in place and operable, he’s moving ahead. The recent remarks by his many followers are unanimous - they want to continue to follow him, and many caution that he keep himself safe and fit, and that we must respect his privacy also, not peer too closely into his home. But please they ask, let us continue to watch the general process. His camera work and editing has become very high quality. We’re also learning he knows when to hire certain portions of the dream to others. For that, we can help him. Matt has become the hero, the rugged individualist many of us want to be, but aren’t. So we follow him, it’s vicarious for us, but sometimes viewers who should, haven’t subscribed. Many more viewers than subscribers. Those watching for free, without subscribing, ought to sign up and help Matt reach a million subscribers. It’s time we give Our Guy full support - Subscribe.

It's not a bad thing to deviate from what the channel is from time to time, I'm sure most of your viewers, including myself, are definitely interested in this sort of thing. I haven't been here from the beginning but I've been here long enough to know this is a dream for you and for the channel, it'd be rude not to show us!

My eldest brother bought a 150 acres in a remote area about three miles up a holler in north central West Virginia. He's a timberman and always says if he sees headlights coming up his gravel road they are either coming to visit him or they're up to no good. 😊

You have to document the house build. Its culmination of the years of progress and I have been following hoping to see the process. My parents built their home and they took serious pride in it. You have to show it off!

Hi Matt Have been watching your Vids for awhile now appreciate your time and I have some interest in what you do. I picked up on a comment you made in this Vid about dropping the floor level of your house, I have spent 58 years in commercial development I ran my own company from 20 years old. Looking back in my early days I was not so thoughtfull about mother earths slopes and strata, Is the most important factor before you start earth works . If you disturb earth to your plan it will bite you always. Dont dig a hole to build a dog house , the dog wont forgive you, and youdont want that. Do what you did with your shop build on the highest point. Dont dig a hole it will fill with water then it wont only be the dog!

You need a nice deck as well so you can sit outside in the evening and enjoy that view of the creek while sipping a whiskey.

You used to show the repairs you did on the old church and we're still here watching. Of course you should show the entire house build.

My dad would be throwing a fit with all the brush, limbs, and stumps you're going to burn. He chips it, then runs it through a hammer mill, then turns it into pellets to heat his house and shop.

Hey Matt. One thing I noted in this video were when you were using the chainsaw. I mentioned to Todd at @ProjectFarm some years ago on one of his chainsaw test videos, that: When using equipment that can really hurt you for life, use proper safety equipment. Please. I do enjoy your channel and it would be a shame if you were to hurt yourself while doing what you love and creating the content for our entertainment. Todd over att @ProjectFarm actually responded to my pleas, and now utilize more safety equipment while doing his content. This warms my heart. I'm saying this not only for your own health, but also due to the fact that, whether you like it or not, are a role model and set examples to others. First of all, your killing it with the drone shots while your driving, they legit look movie grade. Definitely show as much of the house build as you can!

All you need is a wood chipper, and a furnace that can handle them . . . Or maybe a steam engine something for the steam show . . . ;)

That JCB articulated dump truck was a HECK of a purchase and it's already paying for itself in the efficiency of moving those logs and being able to dump them easily into the burn pile. Agree that you should NOT show the layout of the house. One of the parts of home security is not allowing your house layout to be known to intruders. Thank you for showing us the prep-work, though, Matt.

I came from England at the age of 11 months. When we got here my father's workmates encouraged him to save up for a plot of land. For a sheet-metal man to own property is unheard of in England, let alone to build one's own home on it. We hired Master builders for the foundation and block work and later the wall-raising, and roof carpentry work. My two elder brothers and my dad provided the grunt labour. I can remember during the first build at the age of about 5 my job was to collect fallen nails, straighten the bent ones and return each type to the correct boxes to be reused. All this to say I have enjoyed all of the building you have done here. Your builders may not want to have a camera on them while they work but they may accept a high-level view such as from your man lift, and of course drone footage. We started building our own houses back in the sixties so the new technologies employed are going to be fascinating to me. We built 3 houses together over my dad's working life and the last house sold for enough money to provide a trip around the world and a financially comfortable retirement. My dad passed in his eighties and my mom hung on to the age of 93!

Wow... over the time your Machine setup has been grown significantly, and now is really REALLY impressive. You have a tool for every need, big or small, and it is SUCH a joy to watch you go through these machines and operate them like the pro you are !

I've been around heavy equipment operations for 47 years. I was not an operator, but an inspector, contract manager and did a lot of construction layout. After all my career it's still satisfying to watch. Thanks.

I think I speak for more than myself when I say we want to see the whole process. I watch this channel because I like your personality and enthusiasm for the work. So it doesn't matter if you are digging ditches, pulling engines, or re-modeling an old church--I like whatever content you bring us.

I can't help but think you need to keep an eye out for a wood chipper in your next auction buy. That big pile that's showing up in your laydown yard could be chipped up and used as good fuel for your heating plant in your shop next winter, in addition to all the sawdust from the milling of those logs. Unless of course you figure you're just going to heat the shop on those mini-splits? Also, another vote for showing us the dream house build. Yes, keep some stuff private but it would be nice to see where you're at with the process.

Personally, I would cut a swath through those trees down to that nice little creek in the backyard. Having a nice set of stairs cut into the bank...leading down to a nice little trail. Would be a great spot to put a little deck down there to have morning coffee and evening beers. Assuming that creek area is yours and it doesn't flood. :)

Yes! Please take us a long for the construction of the house! I'm a construction nerd. My Dad was a carpenter and I loved watching him build things. I started watching the channel because of the old church project that sadly never got completed, but got sucked into all the mechanical stuff.

Looks great, Matt! Showing just how much extensive work that is involved helps us appreciate the job. I haven't read all of the comments, but after 30 or more, I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of us subscribers want to see as much of the process as possible. For us early subscribers, we watched all of the videos of the church project, on down to the entire shop build, so we want to see the whole shebang! Looking forward to the next step.

On another note, all the, firewood, could be chipped and used to make timber boarding( I don't know what you call it over the Pond).
