I was at the show Saturday morning. I looked around down by the dozers and the shovels but it was so muddy I gave up. I wanted to meet you but the mud and rain won out. The weather cleared up and I met Mark Galece , not spelled right I’m sure, and his friends up at the sawmill. Maybe next year. It really is a great show.

Years ago when I worked on VW Diesels (pre 2,000), I would put Slick -50 into the cylinders after I jacked up the car to make the cylinders plumb. I would let the car sit over night, put the injectors back in, start the engine and let it get hot. Teflon in the Slick-50 would help seal the rings for a while to get College students through to graduation.

Overhead crane still in dirt outside. A good staged method of installing overhead crane . Using a lazer to save time. Great displays of hydraulic repairs.

It seems to be a common theme..... Usually before I tear into something at least get a guide or manual on how to rebuild it and see what parts in kits are available before you even take it apart... I had to get two hydraulic pumps rebuilt had no idea where to find parts so I just left it with the hydraulic shop even though it was a month out

@20:23 The only thing i hear is the guitar riff from "Shake Hands with Danger". But to be honest, even safety loving guys like me do things you shouldnt do from time to time (Like working on (not under) unsecured, suspended loads). Keep up the great Content Matt! 🙂

I follow over 70 KZfaq channels, and my 2 favourite ones are you (Diesel Creek) and The Hoof GP. You are virtually living my dream life ! The problem is that as I live in Australia, used heavy machinery like what you buy and sell costs are nearly more in Australia than you would pay for new machinery in the US. The problem we have in Australia is that we only have 26 million people in a country, nearly the size of the US ( lower 48). 70% of Australian is arid land. (Deserts) So all machinery is scarce here.

I have been in the same situation here, not with an older barn but i had bought everything i needed to do a storage barn and do to job change i was gone more and never got around to building it. By the time i was able to take off the wood was in terrible shape, it was my fault because at the time i thought i would have time to build it and never got around to covering it up. We have carpenter bee's bad so you can only imagine it was like a hotel for them
