@@freedomfox8183 I googled it, and I think this is Jose Torres. IF I got the right car, it's 2100 lbs WITH the driver. Mullet is more like 3300 iirc. So we're talking 33% lighter. It's a lot less weight to get moving. Objects at rest tend to stay at rest, and all that jazz...

What no one seems to be noticing is the he kept cleetues waiting. Then they spooled up and double bulbed giving cleetus no time really to spool up them big turbos and he still freight trained them.

Once the starlet double bulbed Cleet had to go. Auto start will trigger the tree in seven seconds in that instance.

Most of the time when thise rotaries pull up at my local, they bang, pop, make a lot of noise and then do nothing.... but when they do hook and run it out, WOW. Impressive for small displacement and short wheelbase... wild stuff... Ill always root for v8s tho..

Cleetus is normally very good at the tree but he was dead late here and it almost cost him the race. Sounded like the Starlet had to do a quick peddle at mid track and that was enough for Garrett to go around him and clip him at the stripe. Great race!

that starlet has run 6.42. You can't steer with those cars because front tires never come down. If you look closely the car was creeping right so he had to let off to get her straight. mullet would have lost if that didn't happen.

2200 vs 3200 pds. Also is an 80 cu inch vs a Pro Mod 572. THATS THE beauty of it. Starlet has the advantage the first half of the track and the elco has the advantage at the top end power. This is whats makes os onteresting. Each car is playing woth different sets of strenghts. Also starlet is a 92 inch wheelbase car so the wheelie bars are needed

That's part of racing, also Cleetus with that SMX doesn't have that thing turned up to FULL power. That engine is capable of making just north of 5000hp. If that car could hook on that power, it would be lights out before the Starlet pulled up to the tree.
