Cleveland CBX Wedge Review from Mr. Short Game!

Yes I know the CBX Wedges came out a little while ago but this was my first chance to really test them out at the driving range and around the greens. If you are looking for a wedge that's easy to hit and gives you a little more distance and forgiveness then this might be something to consider.

I own a 46, 52, and 60 degree CBX. Favorite clubs to play in my bag, strongest part of my game is 50-130 yards thanks to these clubs.

After viewing this video ,I replaced my blade gap wedges 52deg @ 60deg with Cleveland CBX and cannot believe the improvement since using these clubs, thanks for your continued advice & instruction........First Class

I went with the cbx in my gap wedge. I figured I needed the extra forgiveness on full shots and still have the ability to be versatile in my short game.

I use a Cleveland CBX 50, 54 and 58 degree wedge in conjunction with Cobra one length irons, #5 through PW. Much better control and accuracy with Cleveland CBX's versus the one length wedges. Great combination that works for me.

Hi noticed your comment I have cobra one length 5-gap love them but keep taking large amounts of turf with gap wedge can't get used to this club is the cbx 50 much easier to hit than cobras sl gap wedge

Yes, CBX wedge is much easier to hit than Cobra wedge. Large sole and more bounce on the CBX's. I never could get used to the longer one length Cobra wedges. They just looked to long!

I own the 56 and 60 degree CBX, and I play with so much confidence, and the control I have has improved my game. If I'm in the bunker, rough or fairway close to the green, I know I can get close to holing the shot. Since I play cavity back clubs these were the wedges that helped my short game. I get excited when I have to make a flop shot or chip because I know I can use these successfully. Great video.

Have 50 54 and 58...love them, 50 as a gap is money and I have holed out 3 bunker shots this year for birdies with the 58

aded 2 cbx wedges to my TM P790 irons. 48 degree and 54 degree. they give me a nice gapping from the 45 degree PW and i can use them in almost any groundconditions. Only tangly grass like bermuda is a bit more difficult with the wider soles.

just bought the 48/54/60. used demos, 49.99 each. So far, so good. Easy to hit, tough to chunk. BTW, thought that woman was going to drive a ball straight into the back of your head at one point. You were def in the danger zone

I just bought a 48 degree CBX wedge. I absolutely love it. I was using chippers . I tried Odyssey and Adams in chippers but this CBX by Cleveland is wonderful. Never have I felt such control. Spider Dubiel

I have a request. Can you possible review the Cleveland Smart Sole Wedges. I recently watched your review of the Marvic Chipper and liked it so much I bought one for my dad who promptly used it to make a miracle par. Have you ever hit “face forward” wedges? I have a set of these 48, 52, and 56 since most of the new sets have a PW that is from 43 to 45 degrees. Have never used a 60 because you can really open the face forward wedges to accommodate a flop, if needed.

As a beginner which degree wedge should I buy first ...I already have sand wedge which I haven't touched coz it seems impossible to master and I loose confidence if I don't hit good practice session with it ..so uptil now it's a touch me not club in my kit And by the way I m ur fan all the way over from India

How many wedge sets do you keep in play? You seem to swap them in and out based on where you're playing.
