I love him too! He seems to understand that there will be parts of lectures and practical sensations that you may not have quite grasped but have been too embarrassed to ask for clarification from your lecturers. He explains everything so clearly and calmly that I never have to ask my lecturers to repeat themselves. I just come home and watch Khalistan instead! Excellent teacher🥰

Another helpful video! I find it more difficult to palpate the lumbar spine, it feels quite bony, less pronounced spinosi and spaces in between compared to the thoracic and cervical vertebra. Any additional tips?
@ClinicalPhysio
@ClinicalPhysio 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! Good point, spinous processes are closer together! If you wish, putting pillow under your patients tummy can help provide little bit of lumbar flexion to open things up a bit if you needed it!

If you perform a PA unilateral, are you not able to do this on the facet joints because you mentioned you cannot palpate facet joints ?
@ClinicalPhysio
@ClinicalPhysio 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Abs! We mentioned in the first few minutes of the video that doing the Unilateral PA will allow you to palpate in the region of the facet joints. However, you will not be able to palpate the facet joints DIRECTLY because there is soft tissue over the top of it

Can you use psis to find L5 vertebrae, thanks!
@ClinicalPhysio
@ClinicalPhysio 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Timothy, it's often said that PSIS is more in line with S1/S2 than L5. That's why we normally suggest iliac crest at L4 👍🏼

I had PT perform something on my back and idk what it's called can you help me? I was laying on my stomach (like the woman in the video). The PT then used his hands to apply quick pumps on my lower back. It was pretty forceful, I felt like air was coming out of my mouth. What is this called? In another session, I was laying on my stomach and PT asked me to flex my abdominal muscles and he then tapped or pressed on my back with his finger
