Any kid who grew up with the internet, thousand channel television, and immersive video games has NO idea how rare and special shows like this were. Imagine having three, static-filled, low resolution, TV channels ... no ability to record (for most people). Like the radio, you just went about your life until the gods of entertainment decided to bless you with something cool - and you had to savor every last drop of it during the time they deemed was fitting. It was fleeting - ephemeral. Seeing a movie in a theater was like a legal version of an LSD trip. Guess I'm a curmudgeon now.

Agreed. But the Big difference was how we spent our time in between waiting for your so called t.v God's, to put on shows? Hint; It wasn't staring down at a electronic device all alone in our rooms for hours on end.

Not those cartoons where even young children would turn their nose up at. It's so nice seeing media that depicts the good AND bad sides of witchcraft (Even if it's stylized). especially back in the early 80's when witchcraft and occultism still had a negative stigma around it as far as the general populous was concerned. Miss Switch genuinely cares for the children and despite having her own problems, she continues to worry about their well-being. Whereas Saturna is selfish and vindictive, she doesn't care about anyone but herself, not even other witches. it's a clear view of the two diametrically opposed ideas of witches at the time, Wicked and sneaky, or Enlightened and misunderstood.

We were a few years awasy from the "Satanic Panic" in 82' but once it happened, all the cartoons like "Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies" and even shows like "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family" were deemed too dark for kids and relegated to the archives. I'm sure ABC put this and other great shows like it away for good once the crazed religious nuts started screaming about kids being taught witchcraft in school!

Saturna just wanted Switch to adopt the paradigm shift towards more progressive core competencies within the organization's infrastructure. But through her over-reliance on technology, she lost the human element and her dynamic ideation resulted in deleterious micro-management. That and she used poisonous crimson mist on her employees - a corporate practice that went out in the 1630s.

90s kid grown up, found this. A cute, classic little movie with still familiar sounding voices. Saturnia is a classic witch voice. I was half expecting the boy to point out that her witches brew is not unlike a recipe, and is likely repeatable, like science. But this is a classical type cartoon and it was more cute than that, and I can appreciate that too. Overall a charming special. These times produced a lot of those kinds of things.

A cartoon that I had forgotten was brought back to my memory today. As I was delighted by the opening credits music and all, what got me most was the scene of a cloud passing by the moon. I had just witnessed this in real time minutes before. I was intrigued by it, telling myself, surely this isn't the first time I have seen this in all my 47 years, but it felt like the first time. Although I didn't actually watch the cartoon, I allowed it to play as i read the comments. Shout out to the one who took the time to open the doors to Christ, twice! After I'd had my fill of reading, I began to actually watch, and the part that was on was when the boy was telling the computer witch the truth and it crashed. So as my brain was figuring the message i heard miss switch say, a witch is a witch is a witch. I must return to that side of my nature. good teachers like me are hard to find. remember even more important than a good teacher is a good student. Get involved, be curious, let your imagination soar, the best teacher in the world can't help unless you want to learn. I thought to myself what a great message. I agree. When the girl asked if they would ever see her again. and she said, PERHAPS SOME NIGHT YOU MAY LOOK UP AND SEE a SMALL CLOUD DRIFT ACROSS the MOON. I got goosebumps. Seriously, I know God is real. Jesus Christ ❤
