Leo was just mad his son dived for bob and not for him!😂

Really? Can you analyze some more films for me captain?
@afriendofbean2 жыл бұрын
@BiG JuiCe Well, Siggy was more mad at Leo because Leo promised that he won't let go of him until he was ready but Leo let go making Siggy fall into the lake but for Bob I guess it was more of a calming situation where Bob wasn't forcing him to dive (not like Leo did) and Bob himself didn't want to go to the edge of the dock but Siggy went to the edge.

1:29 "I just let the boat do the work, that was the secret." One of the funniest, most understated lines of the movie!

I also love how Leo sees Bob and he was smiling then his face turned straight lol
@patriceaqa2882 жыл бұрын
@@madogroonymoody9299 You love it so much because the original concept was so very dark. Bob was meant to know exactly what he was doing every step of the way. He'd tried to ingragiate himself into the families' of therapists before, thus why they routinely dump him. There's nothing wrong with him besides being relatively impoverished and having no family. Now he gets an 'in' and plays it the way he wants to. Everything is calculated and an act to steal someone elses family. That's why even though they turned it into a goofball comedy you have the nuanced darker elements when you re-watch it thinking of the original concept

As a child, I watched this movie in theaters, but re-watching this scene as an adult has given me a new perspective. There's so much wisdom here about how to help someone overcome their fears and conquer something new.

Ah, good approach by Bob. Now the student becomes the teacher and he follows through cause he feels responsible.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie!

From 3:44-3:45 Fay looked like she was saying, "Leo, I saw what you did, you pushed Bob into the lake on purpose." Then at 3:49 Anna was probably saying to her dad, "dad, what is your problem by pushing Bob into the lake?" However, maybe Siggy should have just jumped into the lake and helped Bob since Bob sounded like he was scared if he was going to die even though he wouldn't have died while wearing that life vest.

It's sad Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss did not get along when filming. This movie really was hysterical. It did make me think about how some of the dislike from Leo towards Bob probably extended from his real life dislike.

@DarlingNikki25 жыл бұрын
@@conqururfear I think Bill Murray has trouble getting along with a lot of people. He just has one of those difficult personalities on set (perhaps off-set as well) and some people can handle that while others are just rubbed the wrong way and can't stand him.

@afriendofbean2 жыл бұрын
@Elly Grant Not really because Leo pushed Bob into the lake and Bob probably wasn't focusing on what happened on when he fell into the lake especially he kept panicking thinking he was going to die.

Both men were really good in this movie. But the movie would not have been the same without the crankiness and upsettedness of Dreyfuss's character, indeed.

I guess there really was something wrong with Leo in the head for pushing Bob into the lake since all his family, friends, and colleagues saw him attack Bob physically at his birthday party having a doctor check on him where at the end he got committed to a mental hospital run by Dr. Tomsky.

I've loved this movie ever since it came out, partly because I identify a lot with Bob. It's one of the great psychotherapy comedies -- but how many of these are there? Analyze This and its sequel are the ones that immediately come to mind.
