LOL that's the best part. I have to wonder if Bill Murray was really starting to annoy Richard on set. Richard got actually annoyed with Robert Shaw in Jaws. Robert admitted to teasing Richard and pestering him on a number of occasions. Murray has also been known to be difficult on set with and have a kind of 'takeover' approach. Richard's acting in this movie at some point started to seem so natural and genuinely annoyed/pissed off, I have to wonder if Murray was getting on his nerves genuinely. Never heard anything from either actor with regards to it, but yah lol.

@bridgettwoods1246 Yes that was funny but at the same time, since the Gutmann's saw it happening and if they had it recorded, they could have played it for the police as evidence and have Dr. Marvin arrested (he could have gotten arrested later in the movie if there were cameras when he broke into the weapon store in the middle of the night or if there was an alarm) looking like he did attempted murder because when Fay, Anna, and Siggy tried saving Bob, Dr. Marvin just stood there where the Gutmann's looked at him like they were saying, "we saw what you did to Bob." However, the ending of the movie felt confusing because the last scene showed Bob marrying Dr. Marvin's sister Lily which made Bob the brother-in-law to Dr. Marvin being unknown if he was going to accept him as a brother-in-law. If he didn't accept him, maybe he would have made another attempt somehow at murdering Bob even though there was a message saying that Bob went back to school and became a psychologist and wrote a book called "Death Therapy" and that Dr. Marvin was suing Bob for the rights which is unknown who won the case. If Dr. Marvin lost the case, I guess he became the new patient of Dr. Tomsky since it showed him as a patient of hers when he became catatonic, and she even told him to check himself in as a patient.

Maybe he didn't have a paper towel with him, and in that moment his fear of falling in the water was greater than his fear of touching things in public places 😅

@@rachelg3120 Normally Bob would carry a paper towel or a napkin with him anywhere he goes when he's not in his apartment since he told Dr. Marvin when he's in his apartment he's fine but when he's in a public place he gets scared feelings. Also yes, I'm sure he felt even more scared about not wanting to fall into the lake and only assumed the dock pillar was clean not to give him a disease especially since after Dr. Marvin pushed him into the lake he was panicking if he was going to drown and die (he probably didn't know how to swim either which is why he kept saying, "am I going to die?") even though he was completely safe not to drown wearing that life vest. Probably another reason he touched that dock pillar was because he assumed Dr. Marvin and the whole family were clean people not having any diseases at all because when the daughter Anna was giving him a ride in their car and when he was going to open the door using a napkin he said to her, "do a lot of people use this car?" where she said, "just us" (meaning only the family touches and uses the car) where he touched the door handle barehanded then. However, if Dr. Marvin did the "Death Therapy" for him in this scene, he would not have any fear after this scene touching things with a paper towel or afraid about falling into the lake.
