***NOTES-- READ:
- There are many techniques you can apply, this is just a baseline based off of my training and experiences-- backseat keyboard idiots who have never done this stuff in training or the real world can STFU.
- With the forearm crossover, you can also do a push and pin against a wall or vehicle and draw, MOH recipient Master Chief Ed Byers is a prime example of how it is effective, look up the rescue mission where he did this.
- The snap-button up shirt is from 5.11 Tactical, they are excellent.
- The "Collateral" movie reference of the technique is simply that-- an SAS-trained form of the technique that people have seen. While a great movie, it is only a movie, and these situations are never perfect-- they are very dynamic and dangerous.
- GET TRAINING, AND TRAIN REGULARLY. Cannot stress this enough, just watching a KZfaq video does NOT mean in any way you are prepared to defend yourself in a real world incident. This is also a major issue with CCW training in large and gap in teaching defensive techniques that are practical to what happens in the real world with assaults, robberies/ muggings, carjackings, etc..
Highly recommend these channels/ individuals and organizations to learn from and get training with:
- Gutter Fighting Secrets (my boy Will)
- Hard 2 Hurt
- Shivworks
- Bill Wolfe/ Wolfe's Combatives
- Tommy Moore/ Gutter Fighting & Bartitsu
- SECFOR International

And it is very much an everyday risk/ situational factor, people definitely need to train on it, CCW/ CCL courses ain't training this stuff to adequately prepare people.

Good morning Sir!! This was a great video, lots of information! I would encourage anyone that carry’s a firearm to invest in a training/dummy gun of what they carry. Something that works in your holster setup, that gives you some quality training applications. This type of training is something that has to physically be done. Find a good training buddy for this one, and get to practicing! Great stuff sir!!! Take care!

Yep exactly, no CCW/ CCL class is teaching this stuff, you have to either go out of your way for an advanced course or buddy train on your own volition, which needs to change.

Good information for sure. I seem to remember you having a white dot painted on the back plate of your Glock. If I recall correctly you mentioned that you used it for some kind of short range target indexing. I was wondering if you would elaborate on that? Perhaps recommend (or demonstrate) some drills.
