It was a pleasure to speedrun an Atari Jaguar game at GDQ. I brought my original console with me from my childhood from about 23 years ago, could never have imagined I would ever play it infront of so many people. Hope you all enjoy the run.

PeteDorr Absolutley it enjoyed man, great job on it ^_^, amazing to hear how it's your very own console you've kept around for more than 2 decades (even though I personally don t find the console to be the best :p)

I’m not too familiar with Jaguar emulation, I have heard some games can run faster than intended. This game has some severe frame rate issues that I’m not sure how emulation would handle. I can always create an emulation section on the leaderboard if there is a difference. Have fun!

For some 3D and 2D games on the Jaguar: Phoenix Project Emulator. For mostly 2D on the Jaguar: Virtual Jaguar.

The best way to have WR is to make sure you're the only one who owns the console to play it. Always fun to see some late night unknowns.

I always wanted to play this game as a kid. I was fascinated by any games that were 3D, whether they looked good or not. This is an awesome speed run!

3:14 "Another thing about this game is the controls. It's pretty infamous for being incredibly difficult to control. Anybody that's ever played this before, you know, all five of you, you'd know how much of a hard time you had, especially with sections like this in the game." haha!

I just checked the game in speedrun.com and it seems that Pete is the only guy doing a run. So do you think other runners will attempt to beat Pete's time?

The finish line has a texture, and if you look at it, you'll see why there are no textures anywhere else

I would like a modern sequel to Club Drive called Club Corner, with identically untextured 3D graphics, and an equally open design to races.

If you think about it this game actually aged pretty well. There are a lot of indie games that have graphics styles just like this.

good to go for jaguar WRs make a name for yourself that way as not many consoles were sold and i doubt there is many speedrunning these titles.

Club Drive is slightly less shitty than Checkered Flag. Both games seem to use the exact same engine and sound effects though.

If you liked Club Drive's lowpoly, untextured art style, my upcoming 3d platformer Computer Virus Simulator also derives from it! I really like early 3d graphics.

I had an Atari Jaguar and kicking myself in the nuts I got rid of it. I had just about every game and it was a huge mistake. Granted, it was terrible, but I keep my consoles in good shape. This and selling my Turbo are some regrets I have in the video game world.

Chris Stewart The run was at like 5am CST, to be fair ;) I was glad it had the crowd it did because runs at that time can sometimes have 1-2 people only in the stream room.
