Today I'm taking a look at the Black Light LED Strip from Five Below. While there are some faux black light "party light" LED strips out there, this seems to be a strip of true UV LEDs. While there are a lot of uses for blacklights out there, from lighting up dance parties to velvet posters, I mostly use them when 3D printing. It's nice to have low cost post curing light options.

As far as cutting goes, they make a 90 degree angle thingy so can outline your TV or monitor without having a 'rise up' near the corners, and you don't have to solder the ends. Just pinch together. They may also make them straight so you wouldn't have to solder at all. Just a thought.

I have a question, I buy them a few days ago to light my Glow in the dark funko pops, they worked pretty good, but now I noticed that they don’t glow Purple at all, they look more white and they don’t glow at all, do these leds runs out of glow or power or something?

Did you ever try these out for UV curing 3d prints? That's what I was thinking of using them for too when I saw them. But I ended up buying a UV nail curing thing that was also at 5 Below. It only has 6 LEDs but they are 1 watt each (according to the package).

Yeah, LED strips are pretty niche, especially UV ones. I have some more general interest reviews and even some DIY stuff coming really soon though.

@@ClyFaker I have purchased one of those rgb led strips with a remote for 9 dollars and it works alright. it can be daisy chained and it comes with its 4 pin connector so it's compatible with most modern motherboards

One of the strips I'm going to review eventually is the most RGB strip I've ever seen. It literally only lights up red, green, and clue in various patterns. No blended colors.

Yep. I was pleasantly surprised with the accessories that came with it. It also sounds a heck of a lot better than the Bugha mic.

Not at the moment, since my cats won't leave me alone long enough to record more than one sentence at a time. 😅 I am working on a dedicated recording area that they can't get to though, so I might do it then.

@@ClyFaker yeah my cat, Quizino used to do that, He'd also like to eat our plants so we had to hide them and somehow he'd still find them... I miss him. I do look forward to seeing a gaming channel if you decide to make one. What games do you think you'd play?

@@ClyFaker well I'd recommend ghost recon breakpoint, and the division 2 if you like shooters. if you have a VR headset I'd recommend zero caliber, blade and and sorcery, and Pavlov. And if you like RPGs I'd recommend skyrim (special edition) or Diablo 3, or Diablo 4 once it comes out.

@@nickelhydra3262I know this comment is a couple years old but consider growing mints or pet grass. You can make them decorative and if they get eaten? 🤷
