Would love to see a 556 10.5"-11.5 barrel version. Would also be sweet to see a 6.5 Grendel option in 12".

Make this in 9mm, RDB, 5", various magwells and you'll have one of the most compact PCC's on the market. Love the banshee but no buffer tube is the way to go.

This looks insane. Please make in more calibers like .45acp! Been looking for a more compact banshee relative. As long as recoil is managed well without the buffer tube I am SOLD.

I’m very excited for this platform. I’ve been considering buying a PCC for some time and the Banshee was the only one I could justify the investment so far (maybe, maybe a MPX). However, the Banshee didn’t have a folding brace/stock option from ultra compactness that I wanted. This gun with subsonic .300 blk might take the place of my planned PCC. I only hope in the future there will be an option for a longer barrel (8” to 10”) or a short barrel but with a fast 1/5” twist rate like the Sig Rattler or Q’s Honey Badger.

It will be amazing when you guys use radial delayed opening and start making them in pistol calibers; what an amazing compact setup. My favorite would be a suppressed 9mm with the stock like yours and have them use the Pmag Banshee inserts; great effort on this Dissent!

Way too short for 5.56... Why do companies still insist on pushing super short 5.56 barrels? For reliability and effectiveness, 11.5" is the shortest that should be made. Want something shorter then look at other, better suited calibers for that application like 300BO.

Needs a 8inch barrel and an ambi bolt release but everything else is future proof. Question does it run EA high velocity and subsonic without issue? On the Gen 1 it had to have a separate buffer to reliably cycle.

I think this is good barrel section for 5.7 and 300aac. I don’t understand why anyone makes a 556 barrel shorter than 11.5 in, and actually wishing I had chosen 12.5 for my 556. My 6in 300aac is the perfect length for cqb and this 6.5 looks like a truck/backpack gun dream.

The only thing that I can think of that can make this any better is if it had a fast barrel swap, where I didn’t have to buy a whole new gun or upper to switch calibers. I’m definitely leaning towards 300 blackout and 5.7 as my two favorites. Although I understand why you made 556 even though it doesn’t really make all that much sense ballistically out of that short of a barrel. Lots of people have tons of 556 laying around. It would just be nice if I could swap a 300 blackout barrel to a 5.7 barrel with a quick detach/attach latch mechanism like what’s on some LMGs. I see this being my new backpack gun. Sadly, because gun laws makes zero sense, I’m probably gonna have to leave it as a pistol because I want it to be covered under my concealed carry permit. I legally can’t conceal a rifle in Pennsylvania. I know, gun laws are just so stupid and do nothing to prevent crime. All it does is make criminals.

To be honest, I'd sell my banshee for a 45 acp or 9mm version of this. The buffer tube is the only thing I dislike about the banshee.

My only question is will an FRT like the Alamo Graves trigger (that’s the one I prefer so hopefully it does work with that one), the WOT, and Rare Breed triggers work. Can I swap out that “propriety” trigger day one if I prefer? I had to have a special sear engaging piece from Parker Mountain Machine installed in to my Sig Rattler in order for an WOT or Rare Breed trigger to work, unfortunately an Alamo Graves trigger will not work when dropped in. Seeing as how I just got an Alamo Graves trigger that was kind of an over $2000 waste for me. I don’t want to be making that same mistake again. If I’m going to be dropping $2k today on a pre order I’ll need an answer on the trigger situation, if I can drop in my Alamo Graves trigger no problem then I’m on board, if not the. I really can’t be building and customizing my own in my opinion.

I’d love to review one on the channel. Love my CMMG stuff. I have a 22lr conversion kit that has an absurd amount of rounds through it.

Does it have an adjustable gas block? I’m very interested, especially in the upper vs complete gun, but it would be a lot of extra work to install an adjustable gas block. I suspect it might need one in 5.56 or 300 in order to cycle correctly across a variety of bullet weights and velocities.

What is the twist rate for the 300aac version? Also, it’s direct impingement; so there isn’t anyway to tune between supers and subs?

Looking at the bolt it looks like the bolt itself isn't changed, just the carrier etc. Is the 5.56 going to be compatible with regular AR-15 barrels?

This may seem like a dumb question and I’m more so looking for a confirmation. Will this (5.7 model) work with the mk57 lower? I think that would be a benefit since 5.7 “handguns” are gaining popularity; the mag compatibility from the primary to the sidearm is handy. I know it looks cooler with the big ar15 mag but sometimes looking cool isn’t everything.

Hope there compatible with ar15 barrels, id love to get this with a cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel in 5.56. Also is there a video of the gun being entirely taken apart?

I love the 5.7 and really 300 bo. But why not give us an Mcx alternative with the 5.56. We have all learned such short 556 is useless. An 11.5 or 12.5 in this setup would have been so on point.

Does this have anything to do with ZM LR-300? The taller receiver with the folding stock kind of reminds me of Allan Zitta's design.

First, I LOVE the name. Second, I don't buy 556 in less than 11 inch, so it would have been great to make this11 inch, OR gave us a PCC using this buffer tubeless platform. Any of those two things, and I would have both two. That's the only reason I haven't bought a banshee yet, cause I don't want another buffer tube gun with a charging handle.

You said that it has a proprietary trigger, but uppers will be available for the builders. Now, little confused here, will a mil spec trigger work with the upper, or a binary trigger like the Fostec Echo Sport?

A 6.5” 5.56 is silly. Cool gun though. I think the majority of people are pissed off with long wait times and non existent customer service. Get your house in order first guys, I love my banshee, but there are lots of people out there having problems with theirs.

why does the 5.7 version magazine have only 2 more rounds than the 5.56? Shouldn't we get like a 40 rounder at least??

While I want a Dissent in .300BLK Out, I do not want the 6.5” barrel. I want a 8” barrel along with the proper length hand guard.

Shortening the platform is usually a good idea, but 6.5 inches in a 5.56 is going a bit far IMHO. 5.7 x 28 and .300 AAC were designed for short barrels right from the start, so they make sense. But the 5.56 wasn't, and when you shorten the barrel to this kind of length all you are doing is constructing a fireball at the end of an obnoxiously loud gun, and robbing the cartridge of its greatest asset - velocity. Forget 5.56. It's a fish out of water in this kind of weapon.

300 BO barrel at 6.5" limits options for suppressors. If it was at least 7.5" it would probably increase suppressor choices

a bullpup 556 would be amazing with a magnetic system in the bcg to help slow it down when coming to the rear and help it speed it up when rechambering a round. that would probably be the best bullpup gas system as it would have less moving mass and hence less recoil.
