The Walt Disney Company is home to some of the most prolific inventors in the US. They go by the title of imagineers. We sat down with Imagineer Lanny Smoot, who helped bring to life experiences like the retractable lightsaber on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser and Madame Leota's spooky séance room.

He helped develop video on demand? Darn it, I hate streaming. I prefer physical media, at least you own it and the network can't pull it while you're half way through watching a season. As far as I'm concerned, he can shove VOD up where the sun don't shine.

Cool but Disney, nor any company doesn't "needs a 'diverse' group" to do anything. Disney and every business, needs the Best people available. If you hire by "color," you get a colorful lunch room. If you hire by ability-you get a good or great company/products.

He never even mentioned black. If he were white, would you assume the same? Always malicious of poc. He said "Disney services a diverse group that comes to the parks and that's why they need a diverse group of people designing the things that go into the parks, toys." He is not wrong. And have some respect for one of the best inventors of our time.
