During the last Coach Robb Podcast (#63), “Toolman” Dan and Coach Robb took apart the plethora of misinformation circulating around in the nutrition world across the spectrum of weight loss and improved athletic performance. The podcast organically led to the question about the optimum ways to exercise, and sport specially train, to not only improve overall health and athletic performance, but also how to do so in a manner that minimizes the risk of any downtime associated with an injury and/or an illness.
As outlined by Coach Robb early in the podcast, please come to this conversation with an open mind and if logistically possible, open up your Garmin Dashboard so that you can take your captured data from both exercising and sleeping to evaluate the discussed subjects using your personal data. It is imperative to Coach Robb, that all the podcast listeners and KZfaq subscribers have a complete understanding of the WHY behind their eating and exercise habits.
Whether you exercise to drop body fat, build lean muscle mass, reduce stress, or want to become a World Champion, the principles of exercise cannot be ignored without significant ramifications to both your health and/or performance (short and long term). @CoachRobbBeams the conversion of eating carbs to it being used as energy. For example does eating carbs for breakfast on a race day, is it used as energy or would it need to be like the day or 2 before?
