I have spent the last six months hiking everyday ( low tempo ) and now two months befor my cross country /enduro season really starts i am now implementing harder and more strenuous work outs (when the snow goes i will be riding more and cycling ,plus some weights,kettlebell programmes this will be my first year without an injury (still carrying injuries but not serious ones) where i have been continuously exercising everyday i am excited to see if i will notice any difference from previous years where i had setbacks .love the info of coach Rob he is i think someone i can trust and who gives good information ..

Hi rob i appreciate your reply i am a vet rider not very good but i just live the sport i have seven weeks befor the season for me begins .any help will be appreciated

I have a hard time going slow enough on my long slow workouts. Do you have any advice for this? When I've tried adding a walk interval in to slow my average pace the session just ends up being more like a tempo effort interval workout rather than long slow run. Understand that I'm NOT a fast runner (1:58:26 half marathon PR) but I think unraveling this issue may help me actually get faster over time.

If you contact me at Contact@CoachRobb.com, I will send you my running specific protocols to help you develop an accurate heart rate (energy systems) spreadsheet. Usually athletes train too hard on the easy days and the residual fatigue elevates the heart rate on the quality days. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
