Yvan I’m gonna be sticking around with you. I’ve subbed as well. You remind me of all the big channels when they first started out. Including Pan. You’re raw, you’re fresh and you care about the quality of your content. All these channels have got a little lost with what their customers (viewers) actually wanted. I hope to see you excel from here on out Yvan. Also - I love the shirt and bow tie combo. I really think you could incorporate the bow tie and glasses into an animation as an intro for your videos.

Companies that have the opportunity to pay Pan to feature their products consider themselves lucky that he charges so little considering the reach he has. Great supplemental video to the one you did for Pan! I purchased both products yesterday. I will be putting them on my 2021 Porsche 718 Spyder when it arrives in August. I plan on doing all Pan recommends when receiving a new car from the dealer, right up to the Car pro Eraser stage. I will then be having the car professionally polished and PPF applied to the complete front of the car and rocker panels. I will then prep it again for the Roar ceramic coating. Question; Can I apply 2 coats initially, then a coat of hardener? Cheers, Brent

Yvan, with this product you used the foam applicator and with a circular motion as recommended by the manufacturer. Many other brands have coached the crosshatch pattern when using a Microsuede applicator. From your experience does the chemistry of the product differences create the need for various methods? I do understand your comments on the start and stop as I do a crosshatch swipe.
@Detailers-Business-Academy
@Detailers-Business-Academy 3 жыл бұрын
Every coating can be applied in circular motions or cross hatching, and every coating can be applied with suede or foam. Unfortunately many detailers get sucked into the sentiment that if it’s too simple or easy it can’t be good. Roar is trying to simplify by recommending the most efficient and ergonomic practices.

Omar, the transfer onto the pad doesn’t change anything. This is old oxidized trim, and even though we polished it, it still transferred a small amount to the pad. In a normal application ( not for a video) I would save it and the glass for last.

Hi! I am a Pan the Organise fan and saw you on his channel. You seem an expert! I wonder if you can help- I have a black c300 with CarPro ceramic + gliss. After washing and final rinse with 0ppm water I notice small black ‘dots’ on my car appear after morning dew- only on horizontal surfaces- yesterday I used a leaf blower to dry the car but it started to rain and so I towel dried the rest of the car. Now the side I used the leaf blower had the small dots this morning - look like water marks - (they came off easily with ONR as I didn’t want them to stay in case they penetrated the coating as you said in your video) - could the leaf blower effect be the cause of this do you think? Any other ideas? Only happens after dew in the morning. Thanks bud!
@Detailers-Business-Academy

Yvan, so much emphasis is placed on the painted exterior - I live in the rust belt and I’m kind of obsessed with keeping rust from forming on the undercarriage and frame of my Tacoma. Any plans for a video on this topic? I’ve been using fluid film and such. I hate the idea of Pan driving that 911 beauty in salt. Or, any car for that matter. 😉

Yes salt is a car killer for sure. I’ve had good success with this for undercoating. www.chemicar.com/coatings/total-coat-undercoating/

Thank you. Personally, I think something oil based that you can reapply is safer so rust doesn’t get encapsulated under a hard coating.

O know the foam applicator comes with the roar coating. Is there a similar applicator that we can purchase for use with other coatings? I'm about to do my first coating and would like to do your circular method with a foam applicator. My coating came with the block and sheets.

@@Detailers-Business-Academy I've always been told to apply coating in a straight forward and backward motion and/or a cross hatch pattern. I like the idea of your method, but is that just your preference or how that particular coating is applied? Also, when I apply coating, I do the paint with one applicator and use another applicator for the glass, rubber seals and trim, since I'm weary of the black residue it leaves on the applicator and the potential for it to interfere with the painted surface. I assume it doesn't effect anything? Maybe I'm just making my job harder?

@@tgunter1000 thank you, some Coating manufactures do not trust their installers. By crosshatching they are trying to insure proper coverage. A circular motion is faster, easier on your body, and has a lower risk of high spots. As for transfer on the pad, it’s really up to you, but yes many people overthink things.

I have a question, I recently ordered a coating for my personal vehicle, the coating was set to arrive on Friday but apparently got lost in the mail but before I knew this I went through the prep process wash, decontamination, clay, polish, and panel wipe etc. well now the coating will not arrive till later this week and the vehicle has to be driven daily until it does arrive. My question is what should I do before applying the coating Thursday, just wash, dry, panel wipe and coat? Any help and advice is appreciated. Oh yeah and it’s supposed to rain for the next 4 days so the vehicle will be filthy!
