"No be there" is probably my favourite joke of the series.

Eric got it right, NO BE THERE is perhaps the best scene in Cobra Kai so far 😂

KK1 coming into play in this scene in so many ways - the 4 boys chasing Kenny over a fence, Lia the girl both Anthony & Kenny like mix the letters of her name around and you get Ali.

Rick is so in love with Terry Silver, he hold his breath waiting for his scene. I just love his fanboying 😻

I love how Rick and Eric are always ready for no mercy and revenge, and Aaron is more on the Miyagi side of things lol

I love how Daniel sliced his beer and Johnny’s immediate reaction is just “how’d you do that?” No anger just impressed

This shows writing is good, like, they know how to flesh out characters while giving a new story and makin it cheezy. Anthony gettin development since the first season has built for this moment

I’m glad Johnny was reminded that Mr Miyagi showed up for him too. Miyagi might not be there in person but he looms large over the characters.

The most ironic thing. A LaRusso is now the bully. It was kinda cool seeing Johnny learn Miyagi-Do kata, seeing Kreese stick up for Tory again, & I really enjoyed Daniel learning Eagle Fang(he may learn a thing or two haha) & I was completely shocked to see who Kenny's brother was.

I need a shirt that says "No Be There"

As Johnny said at the beginning of the hockey scene, “The training isn’t over.” Pretty much his lesson here was that he was showing Daniel that the “de-escalation” that he was taught doesn’t always work. That’s why Johnny smiled and took a sip of his drink after Daniel thought he talked the player down. Sometimes in life a fight is going to be inevitable. Those hockey players were not gonna back down no matter what Daniel said, and they were intent on hurting him. In this particular case, when a fight is inevitable and your opponent won’t back down, striking first can be very advantageous. I think ultimately that was Johnny’s lesson here. And Johnny showed Daniel that not only was he confident enough in Daniel’s own abilities as a fighter by making him fight five guys by himself, but also that he learned something from Daniel’s previous lesson by staying out of the fight. I believe that Johnny would’ve never really left Daniel alone against all those guys unless he was 100% certain he could win. That entire sequence was perfect from start to finish. It’s quality storytelling like this that makes this show great. And “no be there” has gotta be the most genius joke in the entire show. The way it came back around to be used a both a comedic tool and a plot device to show Johnny’s growth was perfect.

This episode is what I've been waiting for, those moments with Jonny and Daniel. Signs of their relationship mending, learning from each other, LETTING go of the past. This show is so great.

anyone else love the plot twist of who Kenny's brother is? for me it just came out of nowhere and I loved it

OMG! I haven't thought of the Walker Texas Ranger lever in FOREVER! My personal fave is Cactus her playing We Didn't Start the Fire on the flute!

Amanda is a lot more level headed, but let's also remember that she realized Daniel wasn't all that ridiculous after she actually saw how extreme Kreese was before. Daniel takes extreme methods and is rash at times, but when your house gets broken into you think that way.

Daniel never learned Cobra Kai from Silver. He learned a load of BS that was designed to waste his time, make him over-confident, and make his knuckles bleed. He got trolled.

My middle school also had gym "uniforms" similar to what is seen at 4:55. Both the shirt and shorts had places on them where you could write your name, so you knew what belonged to who in case of confusion when changing in and out of them in the locker room. But, as seen in the show, nobody ever put their names on the shirts.

Been waiting for Eric's reaction to this for a few days now. Can't wait for the rest

In Karate Kid 1, the bullies in costumes chase the bullied kid. In Cobra Kai, the bullied kid is the one wearing the costume and is the one being chased.

The amount of times I watch the Hockey scene daily is unhealthy. But I just love badass Daniel so much.

Lol Balboa Park is a real park in Encino in The Valley. It’s a pretty big park and I guess you could call it the preeminent park in the whole area. I’m sure it’s named after Vasco Núñez de Balboa, the explorer and not Rocky haha

Actually, Balboa is a real park. Coming from someone who lives in La, a lot of the places they mention are real.

Balboa Park is actually in San Diego. The park was named after Vasco Núñez de Balboa, the first European to cross Central America and see the Pacific Ocean. It's just a coincidence that Rocky has the same last name.

I like to go on record right now isn't kind of ironic that the start of this show Sam was with bullies to be popular who bully Alisha then her brother is doing the same thing with Kenny the difference is Sam bullied Tory at the country club yet she didn't back down she could push back where Kenny can't do it yet . Wait till episode 4 its where we see who the real bully is in this show because I think she has been poking the bear since this person enter this show you will see whom not to mention someone important will notice it. Best part made me root for this person the rest of the show!

There’s a Lake Balboa Park in the San Fernando Valley (near Reseda). I agree with Eric, Daniel’s Son really doesn’t have the motivation to be a bully unless we get flashbacks of him being bullied for being overweight back in the day it would still being wrong but more understandable.

Tory should learn how to take a breath and count backwards from 10. She always makes things worse for herself. She could’ve just ended the conversation and got the soup (since she’s the bread winner of the family), it’s not like she didn’t deserve getting told off for the things she has done. I know she feels the world is against her, but she doesn’t have to help it keep her down.
