*Hawk learned the hard way how to overcome his shyness and bullying. He changed his clothing and hair style, as well as his personality with fighting skills. At the beginning of season 1 he was even afraid of hurting someone, but in season 2 and 3 he became sadistic and aggressive due to excess ego. Example that people can get better, or get worse due to trauma. Jacob Bertrand deserved an Oscar.*

First clip is my favorite moment of season 1. Dude went from a scrawny nerd to a badass because he decided to take a good look at himself and change everything about him. And it worked because Johnny is a hard guy to impress. Also Hawk’s theme is fire

It can be done bro! I was a dork in high school. I got canned and picked on cus I was small and skinny. It wasn't til my dad got me into Tae Kwan Do and Judo! My life changed for the better. I even started lifing weights too . I became confident and took charge over my life. I even got girlfriends too

It's not simple to become a karate master in real life. However, most TV shows that presents empowered nerds usually gets them from being in certain situations that just gives it to them like spider-man, or in general put them in situations where things just take care of themselves without doing anything. One thing I love about Cobra Kai is the focus on self-improvement, which gives a more realistic way for a nerd to change his life and become a more well-rounded character.

Miguel's speed is so insane in S2, in coyote creek , hawk could barely land a hit against miguel, has only landed one hit which was kicking miguel to the tree

There's a lot of Karate Kid reference in this show. They had a semi one when Tory fought Miguel, cause she said "I'm Tory, with a Y" and I thought Miguel was going to say "Miguel, with an L"😂

I was once in his shoes during my time in school. I remember after sophomore year July 2010 I flipped the script by losing weight grow taller as well as taking up muay thai brazilian jiu jitsu mma and krav maga and the rest is history

Yo i literally just noticed that in s2, hawk has 10 spikes (or edges idk) but in s3 he got 9 of em and in s4 (before purple hawk) he got 8 of them
