If I get a soda machine I wouldn't charge more than $0.75 for a 12oz can and I'm in Michigan. there's a 10 cent deposit refund so this would be about $0.40 in 1993. I have a family dam it.

If that soda were in a bottle he might get away with charging 85cents depending on the size of set bottle. But not 85cents for a 12oz can, that IS extortion.

$1.29 at the time you left this comment held the same value as 63 cents in 1993, and you got an additional 4 ounces. Adjusting the price to match 12 ounces, the coke would have cost about 48 cents in 1993, and about 97 cents in 2022.
