If we are going based solely on the original animated series then many can argue Rogue and even Jean have had their time on the spotlight enough to be in that top 5 list too. Maybe even Jubilee and Beast occasionally. Going down the list you can add other notable characters after the main x-men characters that played significant roles back in the day like Cable, Bishop,Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister. Not going to add cool characters like Nightcrawler, Colossus , Psylocke and Archangel here because in the original series they only appeared in like 3 episodes each although X-Men 97 seems to be bringing in Nightcrawler to the main crew and I’ve heard rumors that Colossus and a few more might be coming in the seasons ahead.

As much as im enjoying X-men 97, im really not liking magnetos design. It just doesnt work. The long gloves, lack of sleeves, the massive M logo? Yeah, no. His design from the animated series is much better.
