It's amazing that Henry Winkler in person is such a sweet, mild mannered guy and yet he created such an iconic character in the Fonz. And because he is such a nice guy, he is still constantly working today in movies. Everybody loves him.

He also writes children's books for dyslexic kids. Hank Zipper series. Henry was always told he was stupid in school because he is dyslexic. The man is an icon

Yeah but he was only a tough guy actor on that show. If you wanna see him get his butt kicked, watch the movie One Christmas. Biker gang shows are cool, but there are countless actors that can do it. Was Fonzie a member of the Falcons or the Dragons? I'm hoping it was the Dragons because I like flying fire breathing reptiles talked about in the fantasy genre and the Bible.

Guion Lawes I read somewhere that he used the Fonz character one time in public with Crowd Control to prevent a problem. It worked, everyone listened to him. Long live the Fonz !!

I'm so glad I grew up during the 70's. It really was a special decade. We had Happy Days, Star Wars and Threes Company to watch as a kid! Fonzie and Han Solo were my heroes and Janet and Chrissy helped me through puberty! Haha

NO matter what anyone says most of us loved the Fonz and would have killed to be just like him. Cool, tough and able to click your fingers and have the girls come running. He was a powerful character that had people actually listening to what he said.

Actually, just for fun, I've tried that "(ayy) cool it!!" while snapping my fingers (both hands at the same time) when in loud places. It actually works... makes people just as taken aback every time - and suddenly it's really quiet. The fact that I live the life of a greaser and dress as such in leather and brylcreem, just makes it even more fun - especially for those who understands where I took the line from.

I remember the first episode in 1974 as a 6th grader. At school it got favorable reviews. American Grafiti was a hit movie that came out before Happy Days so apparently people wanted to see 1950’s early ‘60’s then.

+Tim Root I might have thrown Potsie or Ralph under the bus...It might have given him time to cool down anyway. I forgot what Mrs. C said to him to anger him. But, deep down, who was the only woman in his life who he had a deep love and respect for because she was the mom he never had and deserved TO have? Mrs. C :) Heck, I would have loved to have her as my own mom...and Howard as my dad (OK, deep down...i would have liked to be Richie! Haha)
