That's interesting. Free writing thoughts. I am making a game and an engine that will run that game. I started with Vulkan, C++, managed to make it work the basic basic staff. It would be cool to have mentor like person, and to learn, create something together, have fun, maybe it would be smart to work on a engine together with someone, and make the game alone, itd. I learn to build things, as I understand them this way. So it resonated what you have said in video.

It's complicated... I'm like you and I would rather develop my own engine to make my games. But I know that for the kind of game that I want to make at this time (that I'm actually making). I could not do it with my own engine. Reason being making a 3d engine is so f hard. The thing is not really to get the 'basic' 3d stuff working, like the view matrix, importing models, animated models, lighting, etc. That is already very f hard, but to make a 3d engine is much more than that, it is getting that much work done and them making that look good or at least decent! Most people will never even understand how much work and how math-heavy, hard stuff, making a 3d engine is. So to me, in the practical sense to make the 3d game that I want to make I have to use Unity. That said, when I get tired of working on my main project I have a second c#/OpenTK 2d game project that I'm developing as a side/fun project without the intention of really releasing it anytime soon. The thing is that to make a 2d engine from scratch is definitely viable, and to me It's actually a lot of fun. But to make a 3d competent-enough engine from scratch is like almost impossible and to me it's not an option.

Agreed, it's these same reasons I've decided to gear it towards a game rather than a universal engine.

The main issue with writing your own engine, and I definitely see it here, is not having a specific game in mind. Don’t try to make Unity, you will fail; try to make a traditional engine, a barebones technology that will run the game or games you want and nothing else.

He does often bring up that he wants to make a particular game with this engine.

@@iamlordstarbuilder5595 You'll have to get it from him; he hasn't released any details, only the fact that he's looking to make a particular game.

Agreed, yeah I do have a game in mind. I don't plan on doing much content on it, as I would rather not spoil it and I have no idea how long it will take, but I did make a video a while back about the idea.

What is your editor theme for VS code it looks awesome, maybe can do a video on it?

Your model looks like it probably uses uv's outside the 0,1 uv space to allow the floor texture to tile. Your texture is probably set to clamp to edge instead of repeat which is causing that stretching.

ah, yes, It is something like that. I was just figuring this out as I saw you comment. I also need to bring in the uvscale on my model loader stuff too, I think. Should have it fixed by next update.
