WELL IT'S NOT QUITE WINTER YET HERE IN NORTHWEST MONTANA, SO BLITZ AND I TAKE GAMBLE ONTHE WEATHER AND HEAD INTO A LESSER KNOWN LAKE IN THE FISHER RIVER DRAINAGE OF THE KOOTENAI NATIONAL FOREST. WE GOT A LATE START IN THE DAY, AND WE WERE RACING DAYLIGHT THE WHOLE WAY IN. I WANTED TO FISH THE LAKE, BUT I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO CODY LAKES IN THE SUMMER TO DO JUST THAT.

I was tired of being cooped up in the HYOH-WU COMPOUND and i just wanted to get out and practice filming and using the drone. Yeah winter is coming...I can feel it in my bones.

It's my winter pack .. actually, I didn't have a whole lot in there. The TV adds adds 10lbs I think. Lol. SERENITY NOW!

Middle lake has a few nice rainbows. Never been stocked as far as FWP knows. Used to be a crick (1990's) ran pretty good between all three lakes and provided good spawning areas. I haven't seen the crick running in years. Springs at shore of middle lake, they must use those for spawning now. You can wade out on that little point (you can see it in pictures) and fish. Checking out your video's since I've got your beanie...

yeah i saw a moose across the lake when i got in ...and i was thinking it looks like good fishing. Be careful how many of these videos u watch....it will surely twist your DNA.

Giddy-up....! (I saw someone mentioned Red Green. Between Seinfeld and Red Green, I did a lot of laughing....great stuff). I liked the drone shots and the fun editing. Good job. BTW, at the 8:21 mark, I thought you were taking a whiz on the fire. Maybe after a few Lite beers..... Bird Dog Tom

Lol! I edited it that way, so that's what it looked like....hence the close up and then the far away shot....I was wondering if anyone was gonna catch that. lol. Yep there is a Seinfeld Reference and a PSYCH reference in there as well. The cat meowwwwww is out of the bag!

“Giddy-up” brought a smile to my face. As for your pizza, that crust looked perfect, but Virginia Slim and I were brought up in a household without an oven timer. Our mom used the smoke detector to let her know when the meal was ready. We still salivate like Pavlov’s dogs whenever we hear that sound. Maybe next spring you can take a paddle on a canoedeler in honor of Red Green?

Yeah I can't do burnt crust pizza...nope. I like the smoke detector idea for an oven timer. Funny everyone is catching the giddy-up reference....in the Bluebird Lake video I did a George Castanza reference by eating a candy bar with a Fork and knife...nobody mentioned it...thought for sure someone would catch it.

Been to the lakes many times. Have to visit the lakes I share a name with 😂. Have tried fishing a few times and haven’t had any luck. Seen some good ones they are just picky. Love the videos BTW.

Yeah I was tipped off to this lake by my fisheries biologist buddy...I think if a fella took a float tube up there u could do alright. I had my pole with me, but by the time I got camp set up and gathered wood, it was dark.Will be returning to fish the lake in summer. Thanks for stopping in and watching greatly appreciated.

Brought in a small can of tomato sauce. I'm gonna have to go out at least one more time before winter just for Pita Pizza Redemption. I wanted to fish and catch a trout to make trout Cakes but it got to dark to fast. The nice thing about cold weather camping is the food we can bring in generally gets better. Think Ice Cream.

Dude, those shots above the lake and throughout the mountains are insane! How are you doing this? Did you take a hot air balloon ride out from the airport? Is it CGI? Are there wires and mirrors involved? What is this witchcraft?! Boy howdy, how I miss Libby! Giddy up, Kramer…Give that fluffer Blitz a good pat on the head for me…He’s turned into such good companion

Mr. Roy, good guesses on how I got those shots, however, they are all incorrect guesses. I put a camera on a kite, easy peasy. Blitz says woof woof. Blitz is absolutely the best hiking buddy, he's always ready to go and never says no. How's Bear doing? How old is he now 2.5 or 3? We miss you man. Are you in Virginia or Oklahoma?

We are in North Carolina, right on the Appalachian Trail. :) Bear is doing so good, man…He just turned 3 and he’s growing like a huckleberry bush…Also, he is expecting a little sister in February…We shall call her Charlie…Bud, your channel has come a long way…Looks so good…We will have to meet up for a reunion tour…We are getting the band back together!

Yeah I was trying to walk across 2 tiny logs and soon as I stepped on them...lost my footing. No sasquatch up there....eerily quiet. I did see a big mule deer with a nice rack on my way out.

What one does for content! lol How do you get the drone shots when you are driving? Does it just sorta follow you at a distance? I should learn to fly one of those thingys.

Yeah...I'm trying to get as much in as I can before the crap hits the fan with the snow. Surprised you didn't say something about me butchering a Warren Zevon song around the campfire. Basically I just draw a box around the jeep or myself so the drone knows what the subject is and I hit "follow me". It's a nice feature that allows me to add a little more depth to the videos.

Was waiting for some Red Green commentary at the beginning til I realized it wasn’t really Bill. Too bad about the pizza. Made be bury with coals on top and bottom to cook evenly?

I haven't watched Red Green in years ...loved that show. You read my mind... Thats exactly what I am gonna do a few coals on top and and cook for about 4 to 6 minutes should do it. I was so disappointed, because it was my cheat meal for the weekend ...thats why I looked so disappointed i was craving that crust. So I ended up having chilli omelet with toast for my cheat meal Saturday a.m.

@@hyoh-wu yeah. Or maybe heat the sauce, put it on fire-toasted crust, and then put the cheese on while the sauce is still hot? May have to experiment at home so you get a second chance. Or better 2nds.

Yeah...nothing like failing on trail and on camera...I'm gonna have to go out this weekend and have a do over. lol
