Yep, you would get to wait 6-12 months for a joint replacement, up to 6 -8 months for open heart surgery, 30-60 day wait to be admitted to a psychiatric facility. Sounds great. I simply do not understand people like you who romanticize : a national healthcare system. Also, in England, there is a private healthcare system that is excellent but one has to be able to afford it. This is the system i use when I am there.

The hospitals we’re surrounded by are literally turning away stroke and heart attack victims, and people who need cancer procedures as they have been informing people on their website. But that’s ok, I have the best insurance in my state (literally the state employee plan) and just went into debt after my first diagnostic imaging test. U.S. healthcare is a total scam and everyone knows it.

Oh my goodness! That part on asking Britain to take us back was one of the funniest segments I have seen lately...thanks Colbert writers for giving me a much needed laugh after reflecting on all of the stories earlier in the monologue. Levar Burton is a natural. I believe that he had first day jitters because this was all new to him. He had never hosted the show before. Who wouldn't be a little nervous on the first day and especially if it's your first time at bat? However, within an incredible amount of short time, Mr. Burton caught on very quickly and was completely at ease. He performed a fine job as guest host.

he never was a at ease, he was a failure as a host (it was a new experience for all the other guests hosts and Levar was probably the worst, don’t sugarcoat the truth) and the public agreed, he had the lowest ratings of all. There’s a narrative from a loud minority to push someone to a place where he underperforms

@@JKReAl you don’t have to like the guy or how he did in his 5 episode stint, but you can’t say he’s not a skilled orator. Burton was on record stating he was very nervous. It’s hard to judge his performance from a single day of work (all episodes were filmed in one day). Take a listen to his podcast to hear how he performs when in his element. Like him or not, dogging on his likely ability to host is just silly.

I'm glad Stephen talked about Richards, even though I don't ultimately care. I think Trebek would agree, the game itself is more important than who hosts it. It's just nice to see the game in the spotlight, and I think it should be more often, and hopefully for more positive reasons going forward. :p
