Everyone always mentions Barnsey and Mossy, while seemingly forgetting that Don Walker (Cold Chisel keyboardist) is one of Australia's greatest songwriters. He wrote more of Cold Chisels hits than the rest of the band combined. This is just a sample of his work.

Fun fact. The footage for this film clip was taken during the first ever Mardi Gras in Sydney. Which was actually a protest against how the police were treating their community. This seminal moment of our history is now preserved in song.

"Controversial but I think this is my favourite Cold Chisel song". With that statement Dom I think every Aussie Cold Chisel fan cheered in support. It's a bit like Led Zeppelin fans shuddering at people saying "Stairway to Heaven is my favourite Led Zep song". My guess is you'll be able to walk into any bar in Australia and never have to buy your own beer! 🇦🇺🤘

I think us Aussie's all have diff fave Chisel songs. For instance I'm a Forever Now, Flame Tree's & Bow River girl. When it comes to Chisel there's no wrong answer on what their best song is & who's fave song is what. We are just so spoilt for choice when it comes to Chisel. I think the best part about Chisel is they aren't defined to one generation. Usually as kids we find everything about our parents uncool even down to their choice of music except for Chisel. Chisel spoke to everyone no matter the age with no generation gap

I love this song because it brings back so many good memories of the Saturday night culture. Like the song says a the beginning "Saturday nights already gone" because you would all meet up at a mates place round 8 ish have some drinks to get primed. Being young not much money it was cheaper to drink at home first. Then call taxi's go to a clubs and it's 11, 11.30 before you even get there. So the nights already gone. Then go for it until closing at 5 am. Then it's "breakfast at sweethearts" . And stagger home. Good times my friend.

Cold Chisel has a Dual Attack Vocal…. Jimmy Barnes and the beautiful smooth vocals of Ian Moss…..you need to check out more of Mossy’s Chisel vocals plus his own Solo Career…..Love rewards it’s own, Broadway are two newer Ian Moss songs …. Plus Ian is working on a New Album hopefully due in 2022.

This is my favorite Chisels song by far. Such a good groove.

I reckon the best Chisel song is off their first album called "One long day". A lot of people have never heard it as they stick to the songs that hit the charts. Its an absolute classic.

I kinda lean towards Just How Many Times but yes one long day is epic love it when Jimmy comes in for the last half of the song

@@sammy_dog Both songs are excellent, Juliet and Sing To Me are also favourites of mine. But it's hard picking favourites with this band!

Yes, the other guy singing is Ian Moss, who is the guitarist. Mossy also sang on Bow River and had his own independent hit with Tuckers Daughter. Glad you like it.

Ian Moss had an album Matchbook. It's a great example of his smooth voice.

'I can feel my luck, I've got two days money, if you lock me up, this hope will shine on' Jimmy's opening salvo after Ian Moss sings the intro, then follows those haunting Barnes/Moss harmonies they are so well known for.
