The effect of the sun angle is proportional to the cosine of the incident light vector field and the normal vector of the plane of the module surface, so there will be minimal variation at small angular differences. Angular differences have big effects when the incoming light is hitting the module at shallow angles. Even at a 45° angle, you will still be getting 86.6% of what you would get from light hitting the modules dead on.

Both the cleaning and the cooling increases output. Weird I’ve got notifications on but not getting any notis at all 🥴

The temperature coefficient should be listed in the datasheet, and on the back of the PV panel.

This is a whole topic in itself. I have a video coming soon about testing with much more expensive equipment. I suspect that data sheet numbers are more of a guess than reality. Or maybe they change with age of the panel. Haven’t looked to see if there are papers on such a thing but will be interesting putting some data up here for everyone to crunch against and bounce around.

Hey boss what panels do you have available now?
@BeeneEnergy Жыл бұрын
Nothing exciting at the moment. 185w and 240w. Need to get some higher wattage panels back in the door again. Hoping to have some more 500W+ bi facials again later this year.

but what if it's clean and cold?

Lol I hate you. But yes that would be a fun one to test. I suppose it would be somewhere between clean/hot and clean/just-washed. Or maybe it would be better than just washed since it was soaked in cold instead of just the glass being splashed with water! Ugh
