I bought that same color, package, and markings model in January of that year. At 132K miles, it was barely broken in. 200K: Replaced timing chain and guides (chain was still intact.) 260K: Replaced warped cylinder head. 310K: Replaced what must have been a bad cylinder head with another. 410K: Replaced carburetor. 460K: Sold rusted (but still driveable) truck, in 2014.

Loved the video firstly l live in Australia and own a 1997 Toyota Hilux much the same as your rear wheel drive Toyota Pick up with that famous 22R engine this is an interesting that in Japan the 1997 Toyota Hilux didn't have the 22R/RE motor we got them from about 1994 through to 1995 and all the Hiluxes got the quarter (vent) window and there is no beeps or buzzers nothing but my Hilux has air conditioning an optional extra also on the 2wd Pick up has had a new petrol pump also the speedometer goes to 160 kilometres about 100 mph and l have done 160 kph in my Hilux only once to find if it would do it and obviously did it l will never do it again
