We're making up our collagen strawberry lemonade! I developed this recipe for my daughters 4th birthday party themed "pretty in pink". Lemonade can be food-as-medicine health supporting option with loads of vitamin C from the lemon juice and B vitamin boost, chrysin, and unique antioxidants from the raw unfiltered honey. INGREDIENTS:
4 scoops Pure Collagen
1/3-1/2 cup of raw local honey, optional
1/2 cup hot water
1 lb of strawberries, halved
2 cups lemon juice
1 cup filtered water
6-8 cups ice
DIRECTIONS:
Add the strawberries and 1 cup of lemon juice into the blender and blend on high for 30 seconds. Preheat 1/2 cup of water in a pan on low heat and strain the blended lemon juice into the water, straining is optional. Add the remaining 1 cup of lemon juice & 1 cup filtered water. Add the raw local honey. While stirring, add 4 scoops of Pure Collagen (or whichever collagen you use). Pour full mixture over 6+ cups of ice and serve over ice.

Love this recipe! I've made it twice and it's turned out perfectly delicious and refreshing both times. We swapped out the strawberries for freshly picked blueberries once, and also added fresh peaches another time. Such a great recipe and a fantastic way to get collagen!

Should you keep the heat under 98 degrees, or is it ok to heat the honey higher than that? Will heating it higher than 98 degrees kill the good stuff?
