The collection close-up videos are always fun to watch, thank you for sharing! I think a coffee table in the room with the couch might be a nice way to display some items, but the shelf is a good idea too. Rebecca has a really nice collection

Thank you for this! Rebecca came out when I started collecting in 2009. I love the Josefina mold and thought she was pretty, but I was focused on Felicity and Josefina and collecting their collections. I’ve admired all her collection over the years and rolled my eyes at her directors chair, plastic hair bubbles and 3(!) pajama sets and beds. I finally broke down and got her in 2023 from a friend who is downsizing and sold me her original Rebecca in the first meet outfit. I’ve picked up everything that is currently available, which isn’t much. I was smart enough to get her settee as it was retiring. I still kick myself for not getting her original sideboard. Since I’m in a collecting slump, I may start hitting eBay to look for older pieces of her collection.

I love Rebecca’s movie outfit purely for the hat! I love an Edwardian picture hat! I made one in my size recently and they’re just so fun and so big!

Rabecca and the Hoffman twins are the next historicals on my list of dolls to get, I've limited myself to 3 new dolls this year and got 128 at the Charlotte store on my birthday, so one down, two to go... the twins count as one, right? 😂

Thanks for sharing all of this! I had this on while I was scrubbing the grout in my shower and this made it much more enjoyable. :) I don't think I fully realized just how big Rebecca's collection is before.

My favorite girl’s time to shine! Rebecca is my favorite historical doll and usually if pressed I’ll say she’s my favorite doll period. I fell in love with her years before I got back into AG, my best friend and I took her then-4-year-old to the Columbus store for tea time and my friend and I both could not believe how pretty Rebecca was. When I took an abrupt turn into adult doll collecting she was the first new doll I bought (I bought a used Kaya and Nellie slightly before her.) She’s one of my most spoiled dolls, she has all three Hanukkah outfits and sets of pajamas, though my set of the pink pjs are not in the best shape. I hope to someday add her butterfly dress to my collection! And maybe her little seaside set if I’m lucky 😂.

The white tie at the left end of the clapboard is to erase everything that is written on the clapboard as they change scenes. This is originally how it was done and is in some movie companies, the way that they save money by using that type of a clapboard. But you’re right for the amount of the investment that they had made in Rebecca and there are places where they have really sold her short pointed several of them out to me the clapboard, although historically accurate we really do expect to see the top rise so that it can snap back.

I would venture a guess that the reason they used velcro on the satin outfits is because sewing a tiny button hole on slippery satin would be next to impossible. The only way you could do that would be to use fusable iron-on interfacing to keep it from slipping, which would also make it really bulky and time-consuming to produce. Similarly, the loose weave tweed (I think it was a coat) is difficult to sew and would probably lose its shape if you tried to do button holes. I was surprised to see that they used so many different kinds of tweeds in her collection. I found a really good page that shows different styles of tweeds. I noticed she has herringbone (1st dress), houndstooth (the white top w/blk & wht bottom dress), checked tweeds, and twills. Check out: A Guide to Tweed Fabric Patterns. As always, you did a great job, and even though I don't even have a doll, I learned a lot and enjoyed it.

Just wish AG would bring back some of these discontinued items, I’m sure it’s all very expensive on the secondary market. What a fabulous collection! 😊

I bought the movie dress as a child and when I got my doll stuff back out in 2022 I thought "why did I buy this, it's so weird" 😂 the shoes are cracking too. I wish I had bought the summer dress when I could've paid retail haha

Thanks so much for going through all of your Rebecca pieces! You can tell she is a popular AG historical- she just has SO much! I also totally agree with you that with lots of her collection, they were so close to nailing it, but then cheaped out (like not printing double sided, plastic instead of metal). I also have the original meet shawl & echo that it is a very rough texture. In my mind, I'm like is this to mimic water-resistant material? With so much wool/tweed in her collection, it might make sense to have more water-resistant pieces to keep her dry in the NYC spring weather!? 😂

I love Rebecca and enjoy her collection. As with Kit, it kind of makes me laugh because a huge part of both girls' story is that they are really poor. Yet they have exquisite and extensive wardrobes! I get it, the real money in doll collections is in the continual stream of outfits that kids will pester their parents to buy. But I do find it amusing. At least in the early years of Kit's collection, they tried to keep in mind that she and her family were poor. Her first Christmas dress was a hand-me-down from Ruthie. Her birthday dress was made from a flour sack, and her winter coat was cut down from her father's old coat. Later on, they went bonkers and she wore ruffled silk chiffon to make candy. 😂

Thank you for the video. I have mainly clothing and the side board a directors chair for Rebecca maybe you can put the directors chair in the bedroom and use the pieces as decor. It was fun to see her collection. I want to get the phonograph and her lace dress.

Oh! If you comment during the premiere, it doesn’t stay on the video?? Well, I’ll repeat that I’ve wanted her purple coat ever since I saw it, but now I want her first coat too! Her wardrobe has a lot of black in it. Also, I usually have the dolls hold a muff on one hand or make it look like a purse / clutch.
