Levin is literally blowing the door open on a new territory and a new way of talking about the existing territory.

The fact that this has so few views is a crime against humanity.

This is absolutely mind blowing, and I'm amazed that these insights aren't in public consciousness, let alone general scientific consciousness where they also appear to be absent. It rather confirms Rupert Sheldrake's theory of morphogenic fields, which was advanced in the 70s I think and drew scorn from the scientific community. It also poses the question as to weather or not there is a collective intelligence on the level of species or even the whole of nature. After all, every living organism, and the Earth itself, produces electromagnetic fields which obviously interact. Perhaps the whole Universe is such a superorganism. Back to the more modest proposition of a living Mother Earth, even when a whole species dies off, the whole of nature adjusts to bring all the harmonious homeostatic constants back into line. Until that is human beings came along, so no wonder we ask ourselves if our species is a cancer or a virus. It could just be an evolutionary leap of nature, and perhaps while our conscious minds fret about the fact that we can't stop ourselves destroying the Earth, the vast unconsciousness of all the intelligence we don't have conscious access to is laughing at us because it knows where all this is going. Let's hope so anyway.,

This is the second conversation that I've listed to from Professor Levin. The impactful implications of he and his colleagues work cannot be overstated. Thank you for taking the time to create and post this presentation.

Goal directed behaviour towards targets & objectives is teleological -- syntropic! Wholes are dual to parts -- holons. Problem solving -- problem, reaction, solution -- the Hegelian dialectic. Syntropy (prediction) is dual to increasing entropy -- the 4th law of thermodynamics. Teleological physics (syntropy) is dual to non teleological physics (entropy). "Always two there are" -- Yoda. Male is dual to female synthesizes offspring or children -- the Hegelian dialectic! Duality (thesis, anti-thesis) synthesizes reality (non duality).

For someone who is attributing intelligence to all scales of biological life, Mike is very vocal about doing experiments to living beings that we would consider extremely horrific if they were applied to us. It begs the question, if a "higher level" intelligence were doing these kinds of violent experiments on us, would Mike be as enthusiastic about this kind of science?

Here's a thought: Is the bioelectric signaling overlay the same as the subtle body in yogic terminology? will we find morphic space equivalents of the yogic understanding of "sheaths" of the body / incarnation? Also, doesn't this align with Sheldrake's morphic field ideas quite nicely, and does it follow that bioelectric signaling scales as a structuring mechanism from tadpoles to Gaia?

Could we regenerate populations of native plants and animals in the US and edit them to defend themselves against invasive species? You have mentioned the dangers of "overtraining on your prior" accomplishments, but imagine the general progress that would be made if we could increase the normal intelligence of every person to acquire half of all the skills that have existed in the lifetime of their people, half of the skills for the boy and half for the girl, prior to graduating high school. Regeneration would also help progress: the less tribes are dependent on future generations to continue their progress, the more abilities can be gained without starting over at the elementary level and without additional loss of life. Bioligists try to restore time by regenerating life, physicists try to regenerate life by restoring time. The next thing will be to shapeshift indigenously at will and to expand the terrestrial spacetime to resurrect the dead.

6:05 "they [planaria cells] somehow knew which genes to turn on and off" Since they clearly could not know, they must have been turning all genes on and off, all the time, and evolving by cell division even during their own lifetime - which implies that's what all cells in all bodies do, including our own. This might explain the placebo effect, and how some people can cure themselves of cancer and other medical miracles.

Doesn't this massively undermine Darwin's theory of evolution through natural selection, given that most of the differences brought about through evolution are basically morphological? Really it would be survival of the fittest set of proteins, at best. The organising principle of the body isn't in the DNA so really, it's looking more like an intelligence far beyond what we know, one that pervades the whole organism, therefore the whole of nature. Sound familiar?

This is wonderfull, but all these systems were not created by evolution but by God. Evolution being able to create any of this is a fairy tale.
