The people of Columbia are often like this. We paid a man to drive us for the day and he took us to so many incredible sights and never tried to take advantage or hustle us in any way. We would buy him food any time we ate and he was so thankful and kind in return and would tell stories about growing up there as we drove around. I highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance.

I visited Columbia when I was in the US Navy. The people were so incredibly happy and friendly. Our whole ship had depression issues after leaving because you see these people with so little who are so happy only to return to the US where everyone is complaining or on prosac because life is so "hard" it makes you really question your life and choices and the things we artificially place importance on here in the US. It was extremely eye opening for me.
