26M. My v.1.0 was a 25. Brain says the 26 is the least common size. Too big for most foot launchers and too small for most trikes. The next size up is a 29, which I'd actually like to try some time in foot launch configuration. If it's not always going to be 100° with no wind, the 26 will probably be very good fit... thinking temperatures in the 80s & a little breeze? Dare to dream.

@@YankeeinSC1 Not sure why I missed this video when you put it out, but just now finding (and viewing it). I also got the 26m Colorado2 recently (as I think you saw). With my 27m Colorado-v1 I would fly it with the trike for the occasions where I got the trike out. I'm kinda curious if I'd be overloading the 26m-Colorado2 with my 230lb self, motor, and trike.... Maybe you've researched and have some thoughts.

Just looked at the spec-sheet and did the math... kinda as suspected... if I hookup on the trike I'll be right at the top-end of the weight range but probably not over it. Not too different than I was on the 27m v1.

@@Flyswamper I had lengthy discussions with the importer about the 26. He claims it's too big for 99.5% of all foot launchers and just a little too small for most trike set ups. He'd only sold one or two others when I place my order. Consequently he tried to talk me out of it, but I am glad I stuck with my decision for foot launching. Yes, I think with even the lighter commercially available trikes out there, you or I would be exceeding the 100th percentile. I have mothballed the trike I'd built after hernia surgery and think I'll skip that chapter entirely until I just check into a nursing home. My wife has begged me not to fly the trike, claiming all the stupid stuff she witnesses at fly-in events is "predominantly at the hands of trike pilots" 🤣🤣🤣

The "2" has more rigid leading edge battening. Although the original was good in that regard, as time wears on the materials, the 2 will likely last longer, or at least continue to inflate easily through the life of the wing. My original was one of the first sold. It lacked some refinement. Mainly, the lower profile trim adjust jamb cleats that were an upgrade to later versions of the Colorado 1. The pattern and color scheme upgrades look good and offer more choices if you choose to pay little extra for custom colors. Wing sizing is now in even numbers, so an apples to apples comparison is a bit elusive, but what's 1 meter of fabric between friends? Just call your dealer and buy one!!!!!
