Bryan Burks I really enjoy your content man. Very inspiring. It’s not flashy or showy or fake. It’s real and you give a little insight to the good time you and your gf have. At the end of the day, it’s about having a good time and not necessarily getting the perfect shot

If you follow Willem Verbeeck's channel the way he loads his 120 is so consistent. He loads away from his body, not across his body, brilliant. As for the shots, don't be so hard on yourself , many of the images are classic. The shots of your girlfriend and shots towards the last half of the video are really nice. Oh and dancing on the beach is always good! :-)

I've been shooting with the 6x7 for many years and I found the best way to load film is to sit down and squeeze the camera between your legs while loading.
@Msaxplayer1
@Msaxplayer1 3 жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed this video sir! It looks like you and your girl had a memorable time. Thanks for sharing. I find it easier for me to load my 67 when I make sure the take up spool hole is pointed straight up. If the take up spool hole isn’t pointed straight up wind a few times until it is before loading. I insert the film all the way to the crease and then press the film holding it on the take up spool hole while i slowly wind to the start line. Your pictures still look great even with the light leaks!

get yourself a neck strap and use the two side strap lugs. it'll help with loading the film. all you have to do is flip the camera around and flip open the door. just a fyi. also, the strap for the Mamiya RZ would work perfectly.

I would question the issue being Pentax 67 light meters in general. I shoot slide film with the built in meter on mine all the time with no issues (adjusting up or down as needed for challenging/unbalanced scenes of course). Seems more likely that if you adjusted for images with a dark or light balance that it is YOUR Pentax light meter. Perhaps you might want to look into a CLA if you intend on using your meter. LeZot's used to work on Pentax. Not sure any more. Looks like it was a nice trip.
@BryanBirks
@BryanBirks 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'll probably look into a CLA soon but for now will just use an external light meter!

@@BryanBirks Thanks! How do you find the RB67 versus the Pentax? Do you feel one of them is obsolete or do you find they both have a place, although they’re both 67? I just bumped into your channel today and glad I did. As a pentax67 owner I really love your content and level of photography and level of production. Waiting anxiously to more content! Keep it up!
@BryanBirks
@BryanBirks 3 жыл бұрын
Definitely both have a place but if I were primarily taking portraits I would choose the Pentax 67. Especially with outdoor portraits. 1/1000 shutter. The 105 2.4 or the 90 2.8 are great lenses that will give you a distinct look.

Now you know why older photographers in mid 80's looked with contempt at camera manufacturers who was pushing plastic as a main build material for cameras instead of metal. I was a kid at the time and didn't care. Until I broke the camera for the first time. Which was of course made of plastic. Since than I despise plastic cameras. Since mid 2000's manufacturers are finally using metal agin, at least for mid and high end models. Let's see how long all those electronics inside will last...
