. I love it when you work with intense. The intense scares me to death, so after watching your videos I have tried techniques that I’ve learned from you and I am beginning to feel more confident. Thank you for your instructions you are so soft spoken and easy to listen to. Very calming

Hi Anna, that’s awesome! I have always felt that they had a steep learning curve which was overcome by experimenting and practise. I am so glad you feel more confident to use yours - they are a great pencil, good quality and rather versatile. Keep using them and have fun 😊 Jackie

Thank you so much for this, I love it! Your technique and the way you teach so gently is lovely. I can see how you have the foreground popping and more interesting to the eye. When I checked before this book was only offered on Amazon UK as the older version but today they have the 2024 edition so it’s ordered. You a great ambassador for R J Hampson’s books. Thanks again for all that you do! 👏👏😁

I use clear plastic sheets under my pages. They are actually from my local print/copy shop, used for covers for bound presentations and such. I have to ask for them at the counter but they are only a dollar or so each. They are easily trimmed with a paper cutter and my shop sells letter, legal and presentation sized sheets.. I have one or two trimmed for the size of most of my books. The benefits are that they are completely reusable, you can simply wipe them clean if needed. They give a nice firm coloring surface under the page. They fit my books so no fussy pages hanging out over the edges (which bugs me to no end). They tend to develop a bit of static cling being plastic, so they stay put quite well. Thin enough you can close the book with them in, I often forget it's even there until I go to color another page. They are also 100% waterproof, so I never have to worry about anything bleeding through past them. It's one of those small things that completely changed my coloring experience for the better. Another thing is spiral binding which I have done at the same shop for a few dollars.. it started as a desperation move when some of my books were falling apart before I was even a quarter of the way through them (most US printed books are only glue bound, and my Mythographics kept coming off at the perforation).. but I loved the result so much I do every book I buy now. It's so nice to have the pages lay perfectly flat, with all the others folded back underneath, nice and neat, especially since I color at a lap desk. Left and right pages are just as easy to color, and it's easier to turn the page as needed. I never have to worry about breaking a spine, or color leaking through a spine, or pages falling out. I feel like it actually protects my books, they hold up so much better over time. The only downside is you can't read the spines anymore since they were removed.. but this is not a dealbreaker for me.

That’s a great idea with the plastic, I did have some but mislaid it somewhere (probably inside a book on the bookshelf 😊).

Hello Jackie This was a wonderful Tutorial. Please if you would not mind doing another page with the Inktense. 🌷🌷

Thank you! Will do! My time is a bit short at the moment with the new dog settling in, but I will definitely do more Inktense demonstrations when I can squeeze them in 👍 Thanks for watching.
