Welcome to the club of Border Collie ownership. I've been around these all my life, I love them and they are glorious. But, they are snappy. They are dogs who need to know where they fit in the pack line up ( a fine eg.is your neighbour's dog, who has quickly informed Hamish that he's above him), and they think it their duty, to let anyone (with or without a tail) know if they are perceived to be"beneath" them. They are cute and active, but watch their owners constantly, and rely on them for every move. The smallest hint that the owner is not calmly unconcerned or in charge and the dog feels lost, leading to uncertainty. They love to have a purpose and a set of little jobs to do, albeit supervised. Things like getting the newspaper, finding your "lost" thongs, carrying things for you etc. And more than most, they like a routine. Though they love the chance to go nuts too. I hope you and Hamish find your groove. He sounds like he'll be a very rewarding companion for you. But he may never like small grumpy dogs, one of mine never allowed anyone with a hat in into our yard in 14 years.

Good Morning, Jackie! This picture looks Fabulous! I can't wait to see it Finished! You have inspired Me to try the Crayola Supertips as a watercolor. I'm going to do this, this month!💜😊👍🏻

I generally go for a very soft/smooth pencil, but every so often I find myself wanting something much drier.. like Procolour.. or even hard like Lyra Rembrandt, just for a change. Especially over a base because my hands just can't deal on white paper. A base changes everything. Crayola does have a big selection and some lovely colors.

Jackie you did such a lovely job. I have completed a matchstick mouse book and on the channel am going to complete rita bermans afrika book. I haven't gotten bored yet but have only done 13 pages so far. I continue to work in other books though, I could never JUST do one book. I love that you are honest about what you like and don't like. In my opinion, Coloring should be fun and we should only do what we enjoy. Thank you for sharing

Exactly! And we all have different likes and dislikes - fortunately there are so many brilliant artists creating colouring books to choose from 😊 it would be a boring world if we all had the same thoughts and ideas! Good luck with finishing the Reta Berman book I’m sure you will enjoy it, her work is so pretty but I don’t own any of her books (yet 😉). Thanks for watching ❤️

What a beautiful book! I do like this as an alternative to mandalas, they’re not always my favorite to colour either, I have to be in the right mood to colour one.

I love this book - surprisingly, because it seems to be mostly patterns and those are usually not my jam. I guess it might be the hand drawn nature of it and also that all those symbols add up to some meaning that I don't necessarily get but that is definitely there. Also, great to hear Hamish updates!

Most likely - I’ve seen others do that in the past, but I don’t own it and I can’t be bothered going to the trouble of doing that (I am a lazy colourist 😁). I’m happy enough to put up with crinkly pages. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it very much. Jackie 😊

Enjoying a re-watch of this video as my very first Camilla book has arrived in today's post. I'm all inspired now. Coffee and a playtime I think. As long as I don't need to go rescue the washing. Threatening skies here today. This is one of my favourite videos to watch over and over. Thank you for sharing.

I love your wheel of fortunes!! I bet it’s the paper in the Kawaii Tarot book. For so,e reason, Lulu Mayo’s paper is always problematic. It kinda doesn’t like water…and many pencils. I’ve heard prismas work. I started using acrylic paint and gouache. Less water and more pigment. But I haven’t found anything else that works well. And I say Kawaii just like you do. Heck I don’t even say “Tarot” the same way twice 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Some people just like to complain ❤

It’s really strange paper in the Tarot book I think, and I do like the style of illustration but I just don’t know what to do with it sometimes 🤣 ….thanks for watching, I appreciate it very much ❤️
